Down to dressing 9, unless......
Does Sacar burn his redshirt?
Makes no sense to. My understanding is he wants to play the 2/3 we're still backed up there so this doesn't really help him. Plus I honestly think he's someone who is going to benefit greatly from a red shirt and turn into our first true classic big east style player.
Maybe not now, but IMO we are one sprained ankle away.
No reason. Run scenarios of mpg for our guys. You still will have players getting less than they want & arguably "deserve"
Another player goes down... maaaaybe
No, I think he benefits nicely. He will have much more 5 on 5 Practice Time with Traci gone. maybe more time at the 1-2-3.
As of now, no. Someone gets hurt? Depends on where we are in the season and how likely an NCAA bid is.
We have to hope that no one gets hurt like what tower912 said
No. But try filling 13 scholarships going into next year for a change so you can take your time and give players like Sacar a redshirt and not worry about not having enough bodies yet again.
Unless he's secretly developed some PG skills it would be stupid to come back. He's doing the right thing.
Absolutely not. 9 is still a solid number for a college basketball teams. Not many teams run 10+ guys with any real minutes given to the 10th.

We had 12 guys fighting for minutes this year. Sacar redshirted because he knew he wasn't going to get any. Sandy transferred because he wasn't getting any. Traci is transferring, possibly because of a family situation, but clearly he was getting fewer than last year. What will it look like when we have 13 scholarship players? There is no way to keep that many quality recruits happy with their playing time. Not saying that Wojo shouldn't recruit a full 13, just that we have to be prepared for the inevitable string of transfers that will result.

Wojo would have a very hard time filling 13 spots because you are not going to take 6 freshman just because majority of the seniors have already committed. He might
be able to take one and maybe a grad transfer and that will take him to 12 again. 13, your right, hard to keep them happy. There is some playing time for grad transfer
or juco at the 4 or 5. Lets hope he can find one good one for next year.
If Markus and KR don't recover quickly, he is going to have to.
Does not burn shirt and transfers next year.

Does not burn shirt and transfers next year.
That'd be very dumb.
Or, Sacar could be one of the rare ones who understands his role on the team and is using the opportunity of a basketball scholarship to get a college education. Plus, he's tight with Theo John. I think he sticks.

So he would sit out two years? Why on earth would he do that?
Don't waste the redshirt even with injuries. Why would we waste a year of eligibility if this is a rebuild year?
Listen, I don't like Wisconsin as much as the next alum, but are we sure he even owns one?

Better than not playing at all?

Why would he not play?
You think he is going to beat out Cain, Rowsey, Howard, Wilson for playing time next season when he couldn't beat out Traci or Sandy? Just asking.

Cain, Howard, Wilson, Rowsey, Cheatham and Sacar are basically fighting for minutes at three positions. So yeah I can see him getting minutes.

You're expected Sacar to be playing the 1 and 2?
