Markus?
Shades of things to come.
I think Markus is a good call. Shot it well, decent defense, not sure anyone stood out any more.
JjJ?
Howard?
Does it matter?
Crap, I missed this one. Mods, please delete mine.

Howard
Does it matter?
1. Markus. Nice game frosh.
2. Fischy.
3. AR. Nice to see him get some run and shoot well.
Let's go get Georgia! Go Warriors!
1. Howard.
2. Rowsey
Team awarded SOTG! Best game played in more than 3 years. Forget the score, team defense, team passing, starting to drive and kick out, shot lights out but it is the team effort and disciple that impresses me.
Now that we know this team can play as a team will they stick with it against top talent? If they do we can do 10-8 or better in BE and the team will be invited to the Big Dance. It is up to the players now. Apparently the coaching staff has gotten the important message across effectively. Let's not slip back into the old bad habits.

Rowsey stepped up after playing four minutes last game

Except he got them after the Warriors were up by 25 already. That's why he's third.
MH Did it when the game was just getting started.
Luke. 6 of 7, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks in 15 minutes, and I won't penalize him for fouls when the refs call him for a foul because a guy is laying on the floor and he falls over him. That's not a foul.
I'm voting Howard. But I want to acknowledge solid play by Matt. He's really starting to contribute.

Good call, glowy.
Luke. The Big Fish put up a supremely studly stat showing: 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in 15 minutes. That's 40 points, 13 boards and 5 blocks per 40 minutes. Unstoppable.
Katin for not showing up and sparing us the resurrection of his dedicated thread after every game.
Rowsey had the better game but Markus did it during minutes that mattered. Either or. Luke was solid too.
They play 40 minutes for a reason. Every minute matters.
Having said that, there is no I in TEAM. Win as a team lose as a team. You win (or lose) in your preparation, not on game day.

Agree. He was big early in the game to make sure things never had a chance of getting out of hand.

We were up 22-6, 32-11, etc. What minute wasn't a garbage minute?
MH
Are people really that happy with how JJJ played to put him in the top 3?
4 TO's that could have easily been in the 6-8 range if he wasn't getting lucky with the way the ball was bouncing after they had stripped it from him.
I'm liking that he's so confident in his ability to get from the 3pt line to the mid/close range, but there are times when he needs to learn to cut bait and pass out of a bad situation. He's starting to look like a black hole out there that doesn't facilitate proper ball movement.

I'm with you here. Baffling to me how anyone would mention JJ. I thought he had a bad night. His first 5 minutes were great, but after that he had almost as many turnovers (4) as points (5). Minimal impact on the boards as well. I'd rank him behind Howard, Luke, and Rowsey for sure, and would have a tough time putting him ahead of Sam, Cheatham, or Traci. Just a poor night for Jajuan.

What did he prove? That he can shoot? We already knew that. He needs to prove that he can defend and avoid chucking. Putting up big numbers late in a game against a bad team that was going through the motions doesn't prove much of anything.
We already knew Rowsey could score a bunch of points against crap competition. That's why he decided to transfer here.
Should we even have a stud in this game?
What's the point?

I guess the way to prove it, is in the Game, and if your shooting gets you in, then maybe you can display other skills. which has Not been displayed yet.
Wojo recruited him mainly for his scoring skills, now after this game he gets more minutes and more comfort in using what else he's got.

He scored 20 against Pitt and followed that up by playing 14 and 5 minutes in the next two games, both of which were blowouts. Wojo understands that Rowsey is an undersized shooter who contributes little else. That's not a knock on the young man. That's what he is. I believe that he's going to hit a few big shots for MU this season but, for the most part, he's going to have a fairly limited role off the bench.

Because it's fun. Because it's tradition. Because debating stuff that doesn't really matter probably describes at least 80% of the threads and posts on this forum.

What you say is true, but after just 6 games I think he has other things to Show. I also think coming off the bench will not limit his Impact on the game. But Time will tell.

Finally a pic of a player in the new jerseys. the Mods must hate the new look since all of our pictures were old school...
OR do the Mods really root against MU? Pictures from last year where we missed the tourney and then a howard picture in the gray jersey... Burn the Grays

Yeah, it bugs me that all the action shots in the intro video are all the old unis as well. I am sure they will update it, though. Even in prior years, they would put in updated clips, especially of the new players.
