Title: Black Friday
Post by: WellsstreetWanderer on November 25, 2016, 11:38:45 AM
Only in America do people swarm and tussle over items  a day after they spent time being thankful for what they have

Shopping online is where it's at. I'm not going out in that mess.

I did my Black Friday at Hollander in Madison.  2 Bloody Mary's, when I found an excuse to sneak away from the in-laws.

Just a few minutes ago, I bought a new Weber gas grill to replace our old, falling-apart one. They just about never go on sale, but a local dealer had an extra 15% off everything deal on its site. I put it in my cart so I could prove that the deal was available on this item; I then called Lowes' 800 number. They matched the price and threw in free assembly and delivery - a must because I'd rather be waterboarded than have to assemble a grill. So I got a great grill at a great price and I didn't have to leave my house.

As a nonreligious person, I have to get my Xmas-season thrills where I can!

Just don't cross the border into North Carolina and you will be fine.

In Brack Friday's defense, I've seen people tussle over God only knows what during the other 364.25 days; it just so happens the cameras are only rolling on that one day.
