The incredibly poor defense that Wojo puts out there might have made a bit of a difference.
Vastly different team today than at MSG. MU would have beaten them easily today. CBB is a funny game.

Maybe it was a different game because South Carolina actually played defense?
Oh good. Anytime a team we lost to loses, we get to start a thread about how bad we are... this should be a fun season with all you negative nancies.
(Ps I love MU and no offense to my aunt Nancy.)
Superbar. At best
They made 1 3 pointer in the first half
Everyone knows that if there is one thing rock solid about college basketball, it is the transitive property.
Where are the scoop police to demand this thread by moved tot he superbar?

I love how the thought police always want to move something to the Superbar when it infringes on their one dimensional view of things.

Or when it has nothing to do with Marquette basketball. But once again, who's counting?
It's checking in on an opponent we played. It affects our rpi. It's part of Marquette basketball.
However, we have a thread about how are non cons are doing already. Probably would be better to just post there.

The post was, "Michigan look good tonight?" That has absolutely nothing to do with Marquette basketball. If we're going to create a game day thread to discuss how every team we play against looks every game they play this will be a very crowded board.
Opponent results matter for our RPI. There's a thread for that. How an opponent looks in a game against South Carolina had nothing to do with Marquette basketball.

And it was done when the poster already knew how Michigan played.......he was just trolling.....
If Michigan would have won he wouldn't have started the thread.

Phew! Good answer. I think that should keep you out of Guantánamo Bay.
It's so hard to read this board sometimes. It's early in the season. All teams are working on developing a system and plan for success. Sometimes things will go unexpectedly poorly; they adapt, they hopefully grow and the team at then end of year hopefully resembles them at their best.
Look at Michigan St., this year and really almost every year. They often have poor starts, but are always in the running in March.
Patience, respect the process. Then spend all offseason critiquing about how if Wojo has played your guy or did your plan we would have won the NCAA championship.

I agree with this, and given college teams are relying on the 3 more and more, we'll see an increase in this kind of game to game variability.

Amazing what a difference competent leadership makes.
Sparty will be there in March.
Can the same be said about our beloved Warriors?
No. The same can't be said.

Color me shocked that a guy in his 22nd year in his profession would be a bit better than a guy in his 3rd year in that profession.

I was replying to the Izzo comment.
But if Izzo has been the HC in EL for 22 years then he won a ring in about 5 years.
If that is the clock then we are a few seasons away from winning it all under the Izzo Plan!
Like Roy Williams, Izzo is another guy who was an assistant for a decade-plus before getting his first head-coaching job.
Yet another counter to the "If Wojo were any good how come he was an assistant for so long?" argument.
This thread is hilarious. It's a message board. Michigan consistutes 20 percent of our shedule to this point. It is certainly a meaningful topic when MU doesn't play for a few days. Did it need it own thread? No, but cmon...no need to skewer the OP or those who care to talk about it.
It's literally amazing how differently Michigan looked last night versus at MsG. CBB is a funny game.
We beat Vanderbilt by a bazillion points, totally owned them.
After watching Vandy play Butler close all game - it was tied with 8 minutes to go and still a one-possession game a couple mins later before they fell by 10 - I was thinking about starting a thread titled "Vanderbilt?"

Go look at his post history. The guy is and has always been a troll. Wojo can't recruit, Hank's making a mistake if he leaves after his freshman year, etc.
Funny how I know more about the game every day of the week and twice on Sunday than Wadesworld. I'm sure you're also a big fan of the participation trophy. Probably the only one you've ever received.

Where are the clowns telling me HE was going to get 10 to 15 minutes per game easy. Thing is, most people on this board don't understand the game. Don't get angry when I give truth. Now I'm done. You can go back to bullying people who know nothing about the game.

Lol.
Maybe you know more about the game or maybe you don't. If you do, congrats! I think it's fairly obvious you don't, but maybe! One thing you undoubtedly don't know more about is personal finance if you think it was a bad idea for Hank to leave.
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."
Doubt was removed long ago with you, so you thinking I'm unkowledgeable about the game makes me very confident in my knowledge of the game. Appreciate the sentiments!

South Carolina undefeated and up by 11 at the half against Syracuse.

Seen Maryland a couple of times - undefeated (before tonight), but bad.
Floors and ceilings. No team performs at the same level every time the hit the floor. Our team has a high ceiling. Hit it at the right time and we can beat any team in the nation.
maryland is D3 this year. Pitt is probably using all ringers. Pitt is trash.

let's see how michigan does against buzz. up 9 at the half. my thinking is, michigan pulls out a can of "whoop-ass" on the hokies in the 2nd half. in all fairness however, it is on michigan's floor
wow! good road win buzz!
Belongs in the opponent thread. Really, the superbar. It's a thread about michigan basketball. Playing other teams.
