Title: Cinci @ louisville
Post by: spiral97 on January 01, 2008, 02:40:18 PM
on espn right now.. cinci up 30-26 at the half.. and quite frankly, neither team looks even remotely good.

one shot that made me laugh.. l-ville's padgett smacked sosa's rear and man did he look like he could be sosa's daddy.. the 10 inch height difference looked like 2 feet at least.

How bad is Louisville?  Cinci has lost to some really awful teams and they just went in to Freedom Hall and beat the Cards.  Good win for UC, terrible loss for UL.

Cincy looked a bit herky-jerky in the first half, but they play gritty.  Louisville has been without palacios and padgett for about 9-10 games each.  Both were back tonight.  I'd like to see them pull it together, so when we obliterate them, it's better for our RPI.   The UL/UK game this year will be one of the most inconsequential in a long, long time.

the whole game was pretty much summed up by louisville's last possession (down 58-57)..  with 3 seconds left they miss a three point shot.. get the rebound and miss the two point layup (nearly uncontested and right under the hoop) and lose the following rebound.

louisville had OK defense but offense was terrible.. cinci was all around bad... but bad still beats terrible.

gotta wonder who is favored in the louisville @ kentucky game on saturday.

Its amazing Looeyville shot as poorly as they did from the three (like 3 for 30) and still had a shot at the buzzer.   They are much much better than they played.

Its not like Cincy played well. They are  a one man team and they should have won by 20.

Does anyone have any idea how Mick Cronin is going to be able to recruit in the Big East? He reminds me of that kid in the movies Hoosiers who sat at the end of the bench.

Cronin = This guy...

You probably know him as the guy who played the wig master, touring with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Seinfeld.
