MU has none. Long athletes. Absent. Wide bodies. Meh. Playing Duke style without Duke players. Present.
Is it the players or a lack of mentality instilled by the coach? I'd argue it's the latter
Name a player on this team that plays with fire? I'll wait
Same crap, different year.
JJJ and KR act like they're in the league...illadvised 3's, ill conceived drives to the hole, fall to the floor, look at ref, complain about the 'no call' and fail to get back on D.

I think it's been awhile since you have watched NBA ball. Players don't get away with that sh*t there either.
I don't think lack of fire is the issue. We do lack a dominant player that can take over when necessary. Nova has Hart. Butler has Martin. X has Bluiett. Seton Hall had Whitehead and I think Rodriguez is a promising candidate to step up. Creighton has Watson Jr. I think that's what seperates the top of this league from the bottom. MU, Georgetown, SJU, and Providence all have candidates but no one who has proven themselves yet. Depaul....

Putting Marcus Lovett and Josh Hart in the same group is not appropriate. He might get there one day but he's nowhere near it now.

We talked about this before the season: is there a leader on this team like we've seen on successful teams of yore? The answer wasn't obvious before the season started and unfortunately it isn't obvious now 4 games into the season (except that perhaps we don't have one).
Relatedly, Wilson is confounding. He seems to have the right attitude of a both a leader and a fighter. He says the right things, appears to work his tail off, has immense natural talent. And yet, it doesn't seem to come together for him, especially not when we need it.
