Title: Who's the X-Factor for tonight?
Post by: mubbnation on November 11, 2016, 12:35:04 PM
I say Luke. Vandy's center led the SEC in blocks and hit 26 three's last season. Fishy's gonna have to show up on both ends tonight. Whaddaya think?

(Also, if you haven't caught up on Vandy yet, check out our two previews below)

Not 'who', what.    Rotations, contributions, team defense and rebounding.    (and maybe eFG%)  But, IMO, the offense is going to be fine.

Heldt for SOTG.  He'll spell Luke, who will get in foul trouble early, and contribute meaningful minutes.  10-10.
No basis for this belief.  It's the goddamn season!

We have a good shot at winning if we can score more points.

Kornet has primarily played PF at Vandy.  Center last year has graduated.

On offense yes. On defense, no.

Fischer not picking up two fouls in first 10 minutes.

Hit shots early to get the nerves out.

I think if we concentrate on running the offense through the center position we will lose. Trying to offensively attack a 7'1" shot blocking center seems like a bad idea to me. This reminds me of McNeal repeatedly driving on Cincinnati's shot blocker. I think the shot blocker ended up with 9 blocks, never got in foul trouble and we lost the game. However, if we can draw the center away from the basket and make a great pass to Fischer that is a different story. Try and move the shot blocker away from the basket and then drive, if the opportunity presents itself.

Just feed the rock to Henry at the elbow on offense & let him grab all the easy rebounds on defense. It's simple

Agreed. Go right at him early.

Biggest factor, though, is hitting a solid percentage of treys.
