(High pitched Adam Sandler voice) Somebody called it.
I will enjoy going to watch him play in our little 2500 seat arena.

Should be a lot of fun. I have gone to a few D league games to support some of our alum and enjoyed them.
That's a shame, but hardly surprised.
Wades, where you at?
This is the new normal in the NBA. And everyone; players, organizations and agents all think it's better to be assigned to the D League to work on assigned things than hanging around a college campus trying to grow that school's endowment.
Still find it comical people thought it was comical when I said he would not play much at all this year
Wow--he gowne hey?
I live in a D League town and see a bunch of the league's games. Problem is everyone is out for himself and players can get very sloppy very quickly. But it is a chance or Henry to play regularly rather than sit on the bench 82 nights.

Right here.
yeah, what was that wager? seems it was made back in the good ole days when that ole stalwart, CHICOS had a collective of the board's temporal veins pulsating to the beat of a bad hip hop song ;D
So how much is he being paid to play in the D League?

I would assume he gets his NBA contract since it's guaranteed. I don't think making a typical D-League salary.

I believe I owe $100(?) to the charity of his choice. I'll have to find the post, I think he may have stated which charity it was. If not I'm sure I can wait a week or 2 for when his newest screenname choice shows up.

I don't think you owe him yet. IIRC, the bet was that HE had to average a certain number of minutes in a minimum of 35 NBA games.

Yeah I thought there was some sort of percentage in there because we talked about what would happen if there was injury etc. Well, next time he's around we'll have to make sure to exchange our charities of choice so the "loser" can pay up whenever the result is determined.

Henry is like 18 or 20 years old, his first contract made him a milllionaire. Playing for the second contract at 23-24, at that time he will get Jon Leuer money, like 30-40M,
he made the right decision. He needs to play and the D-League is one step up from college, no studying just hoops. Thon Maker should go to the D league as well, and
I am sure there is 50% of the draft class or more will be there with him.

I'm confident last years class will go down as one of the worst so even 50% of the class might be short shooting how many will join him in the D League
As the first link says, Detroit has sent both rookies (Ellenson & Gbinije) down to the D-league while the team is on the road. When the Pistons played at home on Saturday, both were activated and played.
The Pistons now face a West Coast trip and won't play at home until the 14th.
Detroit is also leaving one of it's assistant coaches (Aaron Gray the former Pitt center) to work with Henry in Grand Rapids.

Not if he doesn't survive the D-League. Hopefully the kid has the mental fortitude to work his ass off and get back to the show in time to make that second contract.
