Title: Georgetown Verbal Commit
Post by: MU Fan in Connecticut on October 21, 2016, 09:35:47 AM
A local kid who'll be attending my former high school for his Senior year committed to Georgetown the other day.  I didn't realize he was such a big name recruit.  He chose Georgetown over Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas, UConn, Duke & Yale.

Big east is killing it in 2017. We have a good class but we might end up ranked 8th or 9th best class in the conference that year. Hopefully, we have a big 2018 with Hauser and Ramey, etc.

What year did you get out of NDWH?  Have a bunch of buddies who graduated from there.

Sean Collins? Joe Webber? Don Cretella?  John Miller?

Any of those names ring a bell?

You and I must've been at Marquette at the same time.  I graduated high school in 1986 and Marquette in 1990.

All of them.  John and I are from the same town.

Small world.

I played golf at Orange Hills with John on Columbus Day.  Donnie C and I work in the same office and he, Johnny Miller, Collins and me were all members at Woodbridge Country Club at the same time.  Met Webber through Don.  Those were the Halcyon days.

I live in Trumbull now.  Work in Bridgeport.

I'm connected on Facebook with Don & John so I'm guessing you work at the law firm.  I usually run into John around town.  I spent 15+ of my working career in Bridgeport and have family in Trumbull.

There's a good number of Connecticut-Marquette fans on this site.

The six degrees of separation!

If you look at either of their Facebook pages I'm the one who breaks their balls every time Prep beats NDWH in anything.
