Title: Fitz's Shot Looked Good
Post by: 21Jumpstreet on December 29, 2007, 05:02:40 PM
Nice to have Fitz back.  He was confident and had a nice stroke today.  With him and Scott on the outside, the drive and dish will be tough to beat.

And the fact that most of our guards, while not great jump shooters, are much better on catch and shoot than off the dribble so if teams key on these two a little more, and Cubillan don't forget, we can still hit open looks with our starting guards.

I'd like to see Fitz start over the over Wes....not that he needs to play more minutes, but it would help with the rotations.  That way when wes comes on the floor he comes with Cubillan thus always forcing the opponents to respect the three point line.  I know we lose a little on defense, but I wouldn't call Matthews a great defender.

I think Fitz is better suited coming in from the bench, not starting.  JMO

Fitz was fired up to play - he played a pretty good game overall - defensively, he got some deflections, rebounds, etc. and offensively, after missing his first 3-attempt, he sank a few.  i liked what I saw.  Glad to have him back.
