Hi Everyone,
I'm hesitant to post this and I went back and forth many times before ultimately deciding that it would not hurt to ask the Marquette community. I am running the Chicago Marathon this weekend and attempting to raise money for the ALS association. My goal is to raise $1,000, 100% of which would go to research and finding a cure for ALS, and I am slightly over halfway to my goal.
As you may have seen recently, donations and awareness raised from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge led to the discovery of a gene which now ranks as the most common gene that contributes to the disease. If interested, you can read more about that here:

If you are interested in donating specifically to ALS research or are looking for a charity to donate to before we hit year end, please consider making a donation to the ALS association at the link below. The minimum donation is listed at $50, but I have changed the requirements to allow donations of any amount.

Thank you in advance for any potential donations. Please feel free to reach out to me by PM or by email at bmaus1090@gmail.com if you have any questions or comments about donations, the race, running in general or just want to talk about the future 2016-2017 Big East champion Marquette Warriors. I know that there are at least a few runners on this board and I'm always looking for training tips.
Thanks again.
Bill
