We're speaking with ten bloggers or writers, each covering a different Big East hoops team. We did this so we could learn about each team from someone who knows them best.
Today, we have a conversation about DePaul hoops, with Under The El.

So, they're gonna suck. No surprise. It seems like the Blue Demons might be, however, especially suck-y this go-around.
Question: Will this be the third year in a row we split with DePaul?
I think we can sweep DePaul this year. Productive starters Tommy Hamilton IV and Myke Henry are both gone. Billy Garrett Jr is an exciting player for sure, but I think DePaul is back in the cellar this year as St. Johns should be significantly improved.
Thought this was the most honest preview yet. I guess years in the cellar kind of beat the hope out of ya.
Didn't realize Austin Grandstaff was transferring to DePaul. I stopped reading that thread about him after the pun infestation rose to biblical proportions.

Tommy Hamilton IV - productive starter? Maybe against us, but the rest of the league, not so much. His leaving will be a clear case of addition by subtraction. He was not a good lockerroom presence, did what he felt like on the floor rather than listening to the coaching staff.
Athlon sports thinks that Al Eichelberger a 6'7" 225 lb freshman from Saginaw MI will start the season at center while the 6'10", 275 lb frosh Levi Cook works his knee into shape.
I was surprised to not see any mention of Eli Cain who had a great freshman campaign, and provides defenses with some distraction from concentrating on Garrett.

I know what you mean. That thread got my -uh- head throbbing, too.

We need to sweep DePaul this year. No question about it.

Agree, though I would move Gtown and Providence up a spot and move MU to 8.

We are all aware that you think we are going to be terrible this year.

Zero chance in hell that Providence is above us in the standings this year. You lose to NBA draft picks early and there's going to be some growing pains.

Generally, I agree. Among the new players they do have two new juniors though, one a transfer from George Mason and a guy from Indian Hills CC who was at Indiana as a freshman until he hit the starting PF with a car during a night of excessive drinking.

I wouldn't put a lot of hope in Isaiah Jackson if I were a Friar fan.
