Scion Dental Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am starts Thursday at MSOE! Game times are 6:30, 7:20 & 8:10pm
Did anyone else know this was still going on? PR for this would be on the opposite end of the MUAD approach.

In an ideal world, MU would help promote this somehow, but I recall someone mentioning that the coaches begrudgingly accept this tournament since it is
utterly devoid of basketball fundamentals non-traditional basketball

I didn't care, which is slightly different.

That's because your boy is Amonymous Eagle and he or she or whoever hides behind the name is jealous you know what.
I went to Scion site and did not see any rosters. Are any MU players playing?

I'm hearing most of the D1 players in Milwaukee are playing this year.

Which part, the overwhelming lack of intelligible sentence structure, not being able to successfully "social media", dearth of self reflection, or the belief that lack of interest = jealousy?
I'll give panther this, packed a lot of stuff into that single "sentence"

The Pro Am is a fun experience and chance to see players. Of course, some almost always put too much stock in what we see, and it's definitely not cleanly indicative of what to expect for the season, but it's been a long time since we got to see Marquette players in action, so I'm looking forward to it.

It went away last year due to Marquette players not participating because of the Italy trip.

It's free. Chance to say, hello to others fans and players. Maybe get a picture!

Generally agree, my commentary was more about the lack of awareness that seemed to have been generated. I'd consider myself pretty plugged in with regards to anything MUBB and I missed this entirely.

Agreed, wasn't aiming that at you. I know that confirmation of MU players was fairly recent, but there's definitely still a lot of information that's not out there yet.

When did Sacar earn one name status.

When did Sacar earn one name status.
When he's the only Sacar in the history of the program, meaning we all know exactly who he's talking about.

Let me guess. Cliches and platitudes.
Expected to play tonight: Duane Wilson, Cameron Marotta, Sacar Anim, Traci Carter, Sandy Cohen, Jajuan Johnson and Haanif Cheatham.
You could have just typed Sacar instead of his full name

He needs to make at least one memorable play ( good or bad) before he can go to one name status. Hopefully he will do that this year.

He is the type of player that will do very well in the pro am. It is amazing to see what players can do when they are not limited by coaches. It was always fun to see Gardner being the ball up court with a full head of steam or to shoot threes whenever he wanted. Sacar (or if you prefer Anim) playing time last year was severely limited by his ability to do what Wojo wanted. With no Wojo to slow him down with silly rules like having to be in the right spot on defense Sacar should be able to display his offensive capabilities. In watching the pro am you have to remember that players like Burton and Blue average around 30 points a game. Cadougan had 62 or 63 points in one game. An MU player that averages less than 20 points in the pro am is generally not going to score much during the regular season.

"But I love Dwight"
Have the team rosters been released?

Silly Wojo with all his defensive 'rules'.
Went last night, big surprise too. Jabari Parker played on the Baird team, had some amazing dunks. Cam, Rowsey, Sandy, Traci, Sacar played also, fun night

Wait, what? Parker played? Did the Bucks know that?
How'd Sandy and Rowsey look?

I would imagine so. Wes Matthews played a few years ago too.
Sandy and Rowsey played for Gruber Law against Baird. Sandy was quite aggressive, looked good, he defended against Parker quite a few times. Held his own except on the break. Rowsey was cold in the beginning, but eventually started hitting 3's late in game. He got posterized by Parker on a full court break too.
rosters can be seen on milwaukeeproam.com
"He got posterized by Parker on a full court break too."
knowing this was family entertainment, i am assuming this means "taken to school"? i also would assume that as jabari has a little bit of experience and talent over these young'ens, this comes as no surprise HeYn'er?
thanks for the updates 8-)
Jabari was a man among boys. Scored and rebounded at will. Played all 40 minutes and treats the MU guys like buds. He even stayed and watched the game after his.

Another year of learning, it seems to me.
Should only be entering college now, age wise.
"Offensively, just got to keep it
really simple."
"By doing all the winning things that
guys trying to establish themselves have to do."
Are the Marquette guys expected to play in this again this week? Is there a schedule and roster available? Will Jabari be there this week? Thanks for the info.

Just found the schedule and rosters. I don't see Jabari listed on any roster. Does anybody know what team he was playing with last week?
Thanks.

Baird
Yup, just found him. Thanks. Wonder why they try to "hide" him. Everyone on the roster has their full name, high school, and college. They list him as simply "J Parker" with none of the other information. They should reverse that.
Any idea if he'll be there tonight?
If anyone is coming down to MSOE tonight for the ProAm, just know that it is Bastille days so parking will be a bit tight and in some areas they will tow you after 7 I believe, if you are in the wrong spot, because of the Storm the Bastille run.

MSOE is north of Bastille Days. I hope it won't be a problem.

Storm the Bastille runs on streets that go right through the MSOE campus.
Did anybody end up going last night? If so, any comments on how the guys looked?
It looks like there's a Jabari vs. Buycks matchup tonight at 7:20 PM. If they both show up that might be worth watching.
