To be fair to Depaul, their Lincoln Park campus is pretty nice. Always fun to walk around there and go to bars over the summer, maybe crash an apartment party or two.

Its hard to make the traditional commuter/on campus statements about DePaul. It is in the middle of one of the most dense (and expensive) neighborhoods in Chicago. A significant minority of students live on or near campus, while a great many live in more affordable neighborhoods a 10 or 15 minute train ride away.

I think it's a typo.  They meant to say "Demon Dreck".

Yep, couple that with many students having class in a "branch" campus downtown as soon as second semester of freshman year and its identity gets skewed.  Its more Marquette than it is UWM

The pic of the student section for their St. John's game was pretty funny.  About twenty students with thirty rows of completely empty seats behind them.

We've had some down years so it's easy to get frustrated about attendance, but seeing DePaul's student section puts things back into perspective.

My memory isn't the clearest, but 98-99 student section at the BC was about that pathetic

The AD quoted in the article:  "We really wanted to provide them with a concourse area so that there were pregame events, pizza parties, or whatever, you know, students would like for us to do."

Pizza parties. Every elementary school in the country...and the DePaul student section!
