I think he has commitment issues.....Georgia Tech was not his first rodeo.

You have insider info that he's not Sultan?? Interesting...You seem to forget MU was interested in him once before. How do you know for 100% sure that he's NOT going to come to MU?? You don't. My point is...this is the kind of big MU should be going after(and landing) if they have any desire to get back to where they were 5 years ago.

You're right. I don't know for sure.
But he's not coming here.
Using the 'search' function, his name has never appeared on scoop until this thread. There couldn't have been THAT much interest.

We offered and were involved post-TN but pre-GT commitment. Wojo definitely checked him out during the 2015 eval period.. not sure if we'll get involved again...
TN had Donnie T leave... Gregory gone from GT... may be worth another try, a''ina?

How did this go unnoticed?
I'm betting he won't put up 15/8 next year, so according to guru we shouldn't be getting excited.

I started a thread about him in April when he first decommitted. He's just now getting his release. So, I guess the search button is broken?

The search function on Scoop leaves a lot to be desired.

Young is a bigger big, 6'9" 250 vs. 6'8" 205 When protecting the paint, size does matter.

So, if we don't land this guy or somebody like him, it is proof that Wojo has no "desire" to get MU back to deep tourney runs? Interesting.

It's not like any other schools will be recruiting a top 100 PF that is recently back on the market in May. Just call him and get him to come to MU it's easy.
My actual thoughts: he probably has a school picked out (not MU) if he is decommitting this late in the process.

He's from Georgia, this must be the real reason we scheduled a Home/Away with UGA, commitment incoming

Squirmy
Bruce is buildin' it, doe, hey?
If Mustapha Heron, Amir Coffey, or someone else who had visited suddenly decommitted, maybe we'd have a chance. Don't think we were ever close enough to White to be remotely considered. This is a complete non-story when it comes to Marquette.

No excuses. This is yet another recruiting failure for Wojo. The man can't land
anybody!

Yeah. For someone who doesn't try. SOunds like another Ahmed Hill and a busy August airport...
I'm really glad the title of this thread wasn't in response to the guy/incident at Raynor Library yesterday.

You said it.
If Wojo doesn't land a once-in-a-generation big who will win player of the year and lead us to a national championship in his freshman season — then stay for three more years — Marquette basketball might as well start competing in Division III.
Or just raze the Al McGuire center to the ground and disband the program.

We could still be in it for White. No reason to think he won't reopen his recruitment in July.

Except I never said he was going to Auburn. Just that he wasn't coming to Marquette.

Certainly deserving of an "i told you so"
Yeah I will admit it was pretty lame.
