Has not hired an agent. So his amateur status is still un-Taint-ed.

Smart decision, especially since he knows he's coming back to school. Very honest interview.
I don't see him as an NBA player but I hope he makes it there someday.

Excellent interview. I think he is a good kid.
I'd take him (nh)

Not sure if the draft will go Ingram-Simmons-Burton or Burton-Ingram-Simmons.

The Ingram-Simmons is an interesting one.. MBD would have been magical for us. Wojo still owes me for that one on the respect level. Real.
Ingram at #26 (he's legit, don't believe the #26)
Ingram I called the second I saw him at 14 years old. (nh)
But, it's true. Henry was another easy call.
The most easy call ever was Giles, pre-two knee surgeries. So unreal.
The only player I draft ahead of Deonte is John Dawson.

So, you are counting on having the #1 pick to get "Magic" Dawson?

If so, the fix for the lottery must be in.
so the 76'ers knew something everyone else didn't? ;D
They have a secret weapon: Philly Coach,
As Liam Neeson says..."good luck"
Good fortunes to Deonte Burton...
I think when he feels he's ready he will make a much better Pro than he has a college player....
Pro body and NBA size and athleticism and elite talent.
NBA size? He's 6'4". Who's he guarding up there?

Exactly. The guys who say NBA players don't play defense don't watch the games, especially in the playoffs. Sure there are some James Hardens in the NBA, but the majority of the players play great defense, offense is just too good. Marcus Smart from ISU plays 27 MPG because he can lock people up, his eFG was 40%! There is a 0.1% chance he becomes an NBA player.

Uh ... no.
Unless he shows next season that his game has a whole 'nother gear, he has 0.005% chance to be an NBAer.

I imagine no one, since that's who he's guarding in college. ;D

It is important for Eonte to go through the process.
as long as he doesn't sign with an agent; but someone is giving him some bad advice-this is a deep deep draft. even the ball boy from kentucky has made himself available for chriminey sakes

From the article it appears to be very clear that he has no plan to hire an agent. He just wants feedback on how to get better. Smart move.
Eonte, cuz there's no D there.
He's out. Back to school.

Not receiving an invite to the NBA Draft Combine was a bit of a hint to him. ;)

He already said that he was going back to school unless he was told he'd be a lottery pick and he recognized that the chances of that were slim to none. Hopefully he learned something and will improve his game accordingly.

Not getting an invite is good evidence of that. ;)
