Tell me why we are hosting the 1st and 2nd round next year? All we are doing is giving badgers home games and guranteeing a badger sweet 16. Why do we insist on hosting
Because its good for the city of Milwaukee. You know. Where Marquette is located.
Face palm.
If you can't see the benefit of holding tournament games at the Bradley Center, maybe you shouldn't be posting on a college basketball message board.

Good Lord, MU shouldn't host the NCAA tourney because it might give the Vadgers two home games??? Wow, that is a whole new level of stupid.
I'm gonna give OP the benefit of the doubt and guess he is just messin' with people.

MU has hosted six times. I worked three of them, including asst. tournament director for one of them. In all that time, Wisconsin-madison has played in the building how many times out of 6 tournaments? Twice. It could happen again, but let's not go overboard.
It is good for Milwaukee, brings money in for MU, helps with goodwill by MU and the community, that's why we started doing it way back in 1992.

In 1992, the USC crowd closed the MU bars every night/morning. Got a little annoying with their Harold Miner "Baby Jordan" free throw routine imitations. I was in the 5th row up from Bobby Cremins running into the stands hi-5ing people after James Forrest hit the ridiculous shot that prompted AL McGuire's "Holy Mackerel!" call. Of course, I'm moving a row closer every year, and will be Hi5ing coach by 2019 ;-)
What will be annoying is if the Badgers are a 6 or higher seed and they play in Milwaukee. How many times have we been 6 or higher and not played anywhere near Milwaukee?
I love when my man Nate Dogg gets into the cocktails. Cheers!

They won't be. The committee will schedule them away from that.

In 2004, they were a #6 seed and played in Milwaukee. They lost to the #3 seed Pitt.
In 2010, they were a #4 seed...and played in Jacksonville. The NCAA had every reason to put them in Milwaukee, but didn't.
In 2014, they were a #2 seed. Perfectly legit to place them in Milwaukee
