Yes, boys and girls, it was 8 short years ago that Too Tanned Tommy took his self-gratifying carnival act to Bloomington. He's their problem now and kudos to those who made it happen. So, let your hair down, take April 1 off from work or school, boogie like a zombie, and celebrate with your significant other like you're 18 again. Hallelujah, hallelujah, ai na?
* Freedom From Crean
Happy FFL day, my man!
Time for some outdoor fooking.

Amen
Good coach. Glad for what he did at Marquette, and glad everything seems to be working out at IU.
I hold no grudge toward Coach Crean. I appreciate what he did at Marquette. I think he had reached his plateau at Marquette and I am convinced Buzz is a better coach. But he did work his butt off for the program (and himself) while he was at MU.
Relax, it's the one day out of the year that 4ever gets to talk about the departed.

In da words of dat great American poet and philosopher, James Taylor, outdoor fookin' officially starts on May 1, ai na?
Crean? We need to talk about Crean today?
Stop, just stop.
If anything historical needs to be discussed much much much more, it's the loss of the Warrior name. Crean? Pfft.

Could not agree more.
I remember being a freshmen and eating at McCormick when his departure was announced. Some random kid ran in and yelled, "LET'S GO GET BOBBY KNIGHT!" Funny times...
I was happy for his opportunity and am happy that he made a run this year with this team - especially with all of the drama he dealt with in the offseason and last season. He walked into an absolutely abysmal situation when he first started. He attempted to build the program up the right way, and definitely experienced a set-back after Oladipo and Zeller left after his first Sweet 16 run. He got it back though.
Like with Buzz, it is only good for Marquette when our former head coaches succeed elsewhere (assuming they succeed here too).

Agreed, but the GIF Keefe posted will always be hilarious.

Eight years later and I kinda wish he never left.

Agreed. The anti-Crean contingent probably never would have turned against him so hard were he still here, wouldn't have the constant back and forth about Buzz, nor the uncertainty we face now. Oh well...Marquette basketball has continued and had some really good times, and there's reason for optimism.

+1000.
I really felt Coach Crean did a great job for MU. I am delighted to see him and all our former coaches continue to do well.
