Watching this game at the Cork and Tap with colleagues. Our HR Queen is a Duck. She is speechless right now.

Buddy was never considered a lottery pick prior to this year. Wasn't even considered a first round pick.
If he could have traveled in time, Vander Blue should have read and heeded.

Yep - they mentioned that the consensus last year war that Hield would be a second round pick. Made himself a lot of money by coming back.
I've been a big fan of Hield since he was in high school. Really wished Buzz would have gone harder after him, though I'm not sure he'd ever have left the Big 12. Just one of those volume scorer kids that could put the ball in the basket in multiple ways.
Looking at his ESPN recruiting profile, it's interesting to see that he's a 4-star recruit. I'm positive he was a 3-star when he came out. Wouldn't be the first time they retroactively changed rankings for players that succeeded at the next level.

You're assuming that vander's improvement from sophomore to junior year would have continued from junior to senior year. A big assumption in my opinion. I think vander had maxed out his talent/ability while in college. Much like Dominic had his freshman year.
Yeah I don't know about that. He could have continued to work on his outside shot, plus he was likely going to be running the point a lot.

Precisely. Hindsight.
