Title: NIT Question
Post by: Tugg Speedman on March 21, 2016, 08:48:30 PM
I noticed some NIT games this weekend (on ESPN) going against NCAA games.

I thought the strength and purpose of the NIT was to provide basketball programming Monday to Wednesday when their was no NCAA games.

Why don't they stack their games more Monday to Wednesday?

Because that would require logic and common sense. Things the Ncaa lacks.

Easy.  Because they're student-athletes and you have to give some impression that you're attempting to schedule these games on the days they don't normally have class.

They stack the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship on Monday - Wednesday.  You cannot really do this without competing against NCAA games at some point.
