Man these courts are ugly. It's like the NBA designed the graphics in the late 80s.
Fück Duke! Go Butler.

They are up by one. Hoping Roosevelt Jones and Kellen Dunham are able to continue their careers. Fun players to watch (except against us of course.)
Go Butler.

BE needs to rack up those tourney wins. Great start.
Need the purebreds--X and Nova--to do some heavy lifting.
Man, people must really be hating on Butler!

Butler with a solid opening win over Texas Tech and Tubby Smith. Next up for the Bulldogs, UVA ( barring upset by Hampton of course)
Good win for Big East over Big Twelve.
Butler needs to get some fans down to Raleigh for Saturday game to offset what could be UVA home court advantage. Unless of course local Raleigh people are rooting against UVA
Great Yale upset and game:
- Drew can't loose enough 1st round games as the favorite.
- I'm loving seeing BCS conference teams loose
- the Yale fans couldn't look more 'Yaley' if they tried
- my 9 yr old thinks Baylor's uniforms are "Rippin'" - I've failed

Easiest upset pick of the entire tournament. A pretty good Yale team against an over-rated team with Drew as their coach.
My bracket remains perfect, though Purdue over UALR would bust it.
Well Purdue just forgot how to play basketball

Damn. Impressive if you are still perfect. UALR was my first miss and I thought that was pretty solid.
Purdue really should think about disbanding the program.
Buzz to Purdue!
Did we ever recruit Lamonte Bearden of Buffalo? He's from Milwaukee and played at Germantown.

I've been following the Yale team all season. They have a really good core of players with Sears, Sherrod & Mason.
Nice work brew and brandx.
I'm -1. Shoulda picked the Nerds vs the Highlighters!
Florida Gulf Coast is at it again. God I hate North Carolina, really hope they lose.
Just saw Cream at half time. He gets uglier every day. He has a little cut on his forehead. Probably did it when he pulled his head out of one of the Harbaugh asses.
'Deepest I've ever been perfect. Imagine it won't last long"
I could say somethin' perverted, but it's St. Patrick's Day, ai na?

Good call Brew. FTs made the difference. Or a lack there of.
Watching games with someone who isn't a basketball fan.
CBS zooms in on Tom Crean.
Completely unprompted: "that guy is the same color as the basketball!"
Archie's older brother sweating more than Buzz in a year...
Cmon Friars.
Dunn gets a lot of fouls. He needs to stay in the game.
Looks like Brew and I are the only ones still perfect in the MUScoop ESPN group. Though Providence and Arizona are trailing at half for me so I don't think it will last much longer.

Some? This is the worst I've seen them play all year.
Bentil just gonna keep shooting 3s??
This is not the same hall team we faced
PC with no inside offense or defense. Other than that, going great.

Whitehead 1-9. Yikes
Dunn with #4 which looked pretty clean.

Yeah. Terrible call.
PC back up now. Playing better without Dunn.
The Hall is playing terrible. Down 9 against a not very good Gonzaga team. PC needs to hold on.

Dunn has a lot of talent but he makes a lot of unnecessary fouls. He can't help team on the bench.

Dude has some cajones. Not a great shooter during the season but man has he hit some big 3s tonight.
That was a baaad shot by Dunn but they still may escape.
Bentil got hammered.
SCs pg is giving this game to PC
USC did not want that game. Holy cow they could have put that away 5 times over.
Providence comes through. Big East wins another. Making some money for the league.
Providence UNC going to be a fun game.
Ball don't lie.
Refs tried to hand it to USC
Nope!!!
Wow! What a finish in the PC - USC game. How does USC let PC in-bound it under the net with 3 seconds to go? And two misses on the front end of one-and-ones killed the Trojans.
Great read on that inbound play. Nice patience.
Great win for the conference. Let's hope seton hall makes a run now.

That little pg with the headband gave that game away
Now wake up hall!
Providence won in a great game. The two lower seeded BEast teams with the upsets. We just need the upper seeds to play to seed.
Looking at you Seton Hall
Dunn was trying to give the game to USC with his shot selections down the stretch.
Cooley is one of my favorite coaches in our league. I like that we consistently beat him too.
Seton Hall needs to step up now.
Not a good day to be the better seed.
Whitehead looks like last year's version. Playing ridiculously selfish.
Hall puking on their shoes right now.
Need Gonzaga to beat Hall for perfect 16-0 today
Need Hall to keep going to the bucket.
What's Hall shooting at the line?
It's gotta be atrocious
Delgado being main culprit
Whitehead makes two layups and then takes that shot.

If I had realized that they were playing in Denver against a Rocky Mountain team, I wouldn't have picked them. How the hell is Denver considered midwest?

Based on the regional site, Chicago. First two rounds don't matter, try to get then closest to the highest seed in that pod.
Derrick Wilson would be better than whitehead right now
Not sure how Hall keeping it as close as they are.

Because Gonzaga is terrible. Also terrible, Kevin Willard getting a tech. Seemed like a quick trigger.
Really? A technical on Willard? Its the NCAA's - give the coaches a little more rein.
What's with the lazy straight arm there?
Seton Hall with typical first round jitters. They are also playing what is effectively a road game.
Whitehead trying too hard to make things happen. He just needs to let the game come to him .
This is embarrassing.
Absolutely dreadful
Seton hall is embarrassing themselves out there.
Still doable. Biggest comeback in the NCAA tourney I can remember is 15 points in 4 minutes.
Don't see any path to victory for Hall. Whitehead way off offensively. Delgado 4 fouls. Lousy FT shooting. Gonzaga effective bigs.
This free throw shooting is absolutely hilarious
That airball free throw never got above 8 feet high
Quote from: Spaniel with a Short Tail on March 17, 2016, 11:46:12 PM
Lousy FT shooting.
You can say that again. Gordon's free throw said it all.
Airmailed the front end. Hall looks gassed in every way.
Gonzaga gonna get rolled by Utah next round.
Horrible free throw shooting for Seton Hall and now Delgado fouls out with 4:45 to play. Comeback not looking too promising right now.
Whitehead is just gonna keep missing. Simply doesn't care
Whitehead is 4/22 so far. Woof
Where the hell was this Seton Hall team when we played them this year?
If this was a Marquette tourney game. I'd be dead
Bedtime. I put a lot of faith in this team in my brackets and rewarded with this. :-\ :-\ :-\
Seton Hall with a lack of experience in the tournament. It showed.
You're an NBA GM and the pick is yours. who are you taking...sabonis or Henry ? Sabonis plays really hard and more physical but I think Henry has a bit higher of a ceiling.
Oh and seton hall really played god awful tonight. Overall though, I think the big east had a good first round and couldn't ask for more (baring an epic bed crapping tomorrow).
It sucks that SHU lost because I thought their ceiling was high and they were built for the tournament, but they just did not play well tonight. Still, the conference won 2 of the 3 toss up games today and has what should be two easy ones tomorrow.
Wasn't this game in Denver? I've spent some time there, the altitude is very influential on performance. I know both teams had to deal with the thin air, but it may have had more negative influence on S.H.....

They are fun to watch -- yesterday was the first game of theirs I have taken in despite living miles from the arena. By the way, perfect David vs. Goliath atmosphere in Providence. Baylor comes out in warm-ups and starts working on dunks while Yale is working on skills (free throws, 3-pointers, back door cut layups). Baylor didn't even figure out who on Yale was good enough to guard until ~5 mins left in the first half. Of course the whole crowd got behind Yale from the start. Fun atmosphere. Based on Duke's squad this year, if the PG can keep up the hot shooting - they may have a shot at the S16.

To quote (yet again) Abe Lemmons' view of basketball in general, and the NCAA tournament in particular, "If you ain't got guards, you ain't got sh*t."
Seton Hall had no guard play at all, as in zero, and, as such, didn't have "sh*t."
