Title: Louisville's getting some help back
Post by: deerchaser on December 18, 2007, 10:44:30 AM
Caracter could play tonight.  Sounds like Pitino misses the presence down low:

Now there's Discipline (capital D intended).

This is sick.

QuoteFinal thought: Louisville is playing Purdue on CBS on Saturday without suspended Derrick Caracter, and it's just as well. The big man is talented, no doubt. But he's the same knucklehead he has always been. My guess is the Cardinals will be better off when they finally and officially move on and in turn stop hoping that perhaps one day Caracter might just maybe change and become the player and person so many want him to become.

Because it ain't happening, folks.

Some guys are troubled souls who can be helped, others are troubled souls who just can't help themselves. By all accounts, Caracter is the latter, just a baffling human who consistently zigs when he should be zagging. I mean, there are people willing to pay him millions of dollars to place a ball through a hoop, and yet he'd rather squander it all by being defiant and lazy -- so lazy, in fact, that sources have told me Caracter has had roommates awake in the morning to find Gatorade bottles of urine sitting beside the bed.

Why?

Because Caracter was too lazy to go to the bathroom.

Thus, he just pissed in a bottle and went back to sleep.

So with any luck the Cardinals will realize though they might be less talented without Caracter, it's still a better option than allowing him to rejoin the team for the 453rd time next week. In the end, it's difficult to progress while relying on somebody who is simply unreliable. Rick Pitino would be wise to move forward with no regrets because anything short of that and he's just positioning himself to be disappointed again while Caracter continues to stink up Louisville's program like a room featuring a Gatorade bottle filled to the brim after a good night's sleep.

I hope he's active when UL is @MU.  The student section can hold up empty bottles of Gatorade with signs that say "Need to take a wiz, Derrick?"

I believe pretty much everyone on this board saw this coming. Rick's ship is sinking, and discipline goes out the window when you desperately need wins. He and Jamie Dixon share the same ethic.

Louisville is really in a shambles this year, and after watching them play several games on TV, they do not look like a very good team.  I know that Marquette-Louisville games are almost always last-second wars, but I am fully confident that we will sweep the Cards this year.

Wow if I'm not mistaken that was a one-game suspension.  Even I thought Slick Rick would hold off until conference play!

You're not mistaken.. Caracter came off the bench.

It's 37-37 at the half for them at home vs. Marshall.  Who knew Marshall was such a competitive team...  ::)

Looks like Louisville is going to get the win up 9 with 27 seconds left in the game.

L-ville wins it 85-75.

Thank god as we have to play them twice and would prefer them to have some decent RPI value.

Also serves as win #500 for sliiiiiick rick.  :-X
