Teenage kids talking to their parents?  As a parent, I object!

This should be expanded...at regular intervals.

I used to head to Eureka Springs AK for family vacations in a cabin without computers, no internet, no phones, no wi fi, or even signal etc.

After 2-3 days I could totally decompress, and what a great way to really pay uninterrupted attention to my family. Board games, hiking, canoing and actually just talking with the kids/wife....pure heaven.

I dont do cruise ships but isnt this one of their selling points, too?

Daughter just came back from a week long service trip with no phone/computer etc.  She said "it was the best."  Thrilled to be off line.  Though she was overwhelmed by her various "feeds" upon her return, she also realized that she didn't miss anything important.
