Title: Gut feeling?
Post by: KampusFoods on March 04, 2016, 03:18:51 PM
Henry gonna play tomorrow?

Gut says no. Really want him to go all '88 finals Isiah Thomas on Butler though. In the sense that he owns them on a bum ankle, not in the sense that we lose.

I think he plays, yes. No brace or crutches, walking around day after. 3 days to heal.

Doubt he'll be 100% but I think he will play.

He plays tomorrow without a doubt

Sounds like they are just keeping the info in doubt so Butler doesn't know and that he is going to play.  Listening to Wojo talk about it on the radio last night sure sounded like he was not concerned.

Henry plays, but not his usual 36 minutes.    Does anyone know for sure that Heldt is done for the season?  I have seen that alluded to but have not seen a definitive source.

Apparently Scoop has outed your true identity as a badger fan.

"I'm really a badger fan" is the autocorrect for A-I-N-A. Mods got annoyed with 4ever I think.

LOL.  I suggested something very similar to Topper over a year ago (and I have a copy of the PM to prove it).  I can't believe he actually did it!

BTW, my source tells me "Don't count on Henry playing tomorrow".

Even with Henry healthy, beating Butler on Jones and Dunham's senior day was always a big ask.

Rest him and hope he can be back to normal for the BET.

I thought the correction was "right" for a-i-n-a which leaves us with sustrightble instead of sustain-able

Chances of beating Butler at Butler Saturday and then, say, Providence on Thursday and Nova on Friday to give yourself a shot at an at large are a lot better than having to beat St. John's on Wednesday, Xavier on Thursday, Seton Hall on Friday, and Nova on Saturday for the auto bid.  If he's able to play you play him and you get an extra day for him to get back to 100% if you win.

Yep. And I think you could argue that even if we have to win the BET that @Butler, Providence, Nova, Xavier isn't much different that @ SJU, Xavier, SHU, Nova. If he can play, he plays.

That and it's only only 3 in 3 days AND we are technically not guaranteed to play either Nova or X in that scenario.

My gut feeling is that we are going to win without him, so why play him.
I actually think MU should hold him out until the second half and then, if we are still in the game start him in the second half. Coaches always make half-time adjustments and Butler would not expect Henry to play in second half, if he did not play in the first. Another reason for not playing in the first half is that you never know how a sprained ankle will react after you stop playing at halftime. It also could be demoralizing to the team, if he played in the first half and reinjured his ankle.
So I say roll the dice in the first half and do not play Henry. Play Henry only in the second half if the game is close.

Maybe our senior day success as of late will rub off on them

If you really want to mess with 'em, have HE in street clothes in the first half.

It'll be good practice for next year without him.
Let's see how next year's team (minus Rowsey) will do.

Who needs Henry anyway? All those easy rebounds will just fall into some other Warrior's hands.

I expect Henry to play, but still think we end up losing a close one. Hope I'm wrong about the latter.

Sorry, I don't come here much anymore, but has scoop invented another new statistical category of "easy rebounds" in addition to "basic assists?"
