Marquette seeding scenarios for the Big East tournament

Heading into the final Saturday of Big East play, Marquette could finish anywhere between fourth and eighth in the conference depending on how things shake out. The top three spots (Villanova, Xavier, Seton Hall) and the bottom two (DePaul, St. John's) are the only slots spoken for heading into next week's Big East tournament.

Another concise articulate article by Matt. This short article presents all the possible scenarios in such a clear fashion almost everyone on this board will understand what could happen Saturday. Almost everyone ... ahem!

What are the chances of Matty V going pro after this season?

Seriously, though.  I'm getting worried that he's gonna be pulled up higher in the JS ranks or jump ship to a bigger paper to get a full-time pro sports beat sometime soon.

Georgetown plays at Villanova on Saturday.  I'm gonna stick my neck out and guarantee us at least seventh place.

With a fourth place finish requiring a Providence loss to St. Johns, I'm gonna guarantee no better than a fifth place finish.

Sixth requires Creighton to win at Xavier, so..... the probabilities are fifth place or seventh place depending on whether we beat Butler at their place.

Seventh place does seem to be the most logical prediction for us.

Then again, it wasn't logical that we would beat Providence twice and lose to DePaul at home, so who knows!

Just want to add to the views.   Plus, just to be mentioned in the same breath as Matty V is such an honor.    ::)

Every morning before you shave, I suggest that you look yourself in the mirror in the eye and repeat three times; "I deserve a good beat writer!"

Got a good chuckle from this one.  Unfortunately (?), I don't need to shave every morning.

Matt also tweeted that he is walking fine. He tweeted a picture and Henry didn't have a brace on.
