Title: Nova ahead of Oklahoma and Virginia in AP poll

I love having two Big East teams in the top 5, but I have to admit having Nova ahead of UVa and Oklahoma after being handled pretty easily by both of them continues to be a bit suspect. Let's hope some combination of Xavier, Nova or maybe Seton Hall can make an Elite 8 run - the conference has looked great overall but believe we need an Elite 8 team to really get credit.

Its always body of work.  Virginia also has loses to Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Florida State.  Nova has no equivalent loses.

Oklahoma has loses to Kansas State and Texas Tech.  Again not bad loses, but worse than Nova's.

The weird one for me is people giving UNC a number 1 seed.  They are only 3-5 against the RPI top 50.  In comparison:

Xavier   7-2
Miami    8-2
Oklah    8-5
Mich St. 7-4

All of them are more deserving of the number 1 seed.

Even Oregon (currently a number 3 seed)  10-3

Is more deserving of the 1 seed.  IMO UNC should be a 3 seed with all of the 2's and Oregon ahead of them.

At UNC, you don't have to do the actual work to get top marks.

Nova shot 4-32 from three point range against the Sooners. They actually played Virginia pretty well on the road had it within 4 points with 45 seconds left. We will get an Elite 8 team and possibly two this year.
