MU holds steady

With none of the other nine teams ahead of them having suffered a loss last week, the Marquette Golden Eagles remained at No. 10 in the Associated Press' media poll, which was released today.

MU (7-1) has two games this week, including one tonight against IPFW. The Golden Eagles host Coppin State on Friday.

As far as tonight's game, it sounds as though there's a good chance senior forward Dan Fitzgerald will once again be out as he continues his recovery from a sprained left wrist.
"He's shooting the ball in practice in a very limited way, said coach Tom Crean. "He's not practicing right now. He's getting shots, making sure he's got the form down. But it'll be soon."

I'd just let him rest during these cupcakes, maybe get in at the end of the last game of 2 so he can get used to the game speed before Providence and the rest of the BE, but no point to risk any further injury against right now.  We will need his outside threat against tougher BE teams and especially in beating the zone.
