1. Better defense on the PG.
2. Cut down on turnovers.
3. Henry shoots from mid-range and closer.
4. Duane and JJ play smart.
5. Stay out of foul trouble.
I am in favor of all that. Including topic name.
Better Transition defense
And maintaining whatever form of black magic we used to thwart their 3pt attempts. I have to imagine they'll shoot better this go round.
Great point. MU failing to get back on defense, especially after made baskets, was a huge problem. Hopefully, JJ sprints back with his head up, so he can stay in the game on offense.
Dont allow Hegner to sit in the corner for a 3 unguarded.
In a change of pace, Tower Pre-game Thoughts!
Make uncontested dunks and layups.
Score more points.
Score more points than Creighton. We should have beaten them in Milwaukee, but gave that game away.
BEAT CREIGHTON! Just win baby.

Maybe, maybe not. They shot below average against us the first time, but don't mistake this for the McBuckets/Wragge Creighton teams. These guys are only an average three point shooting team.
Turnovers are key. They are good at transition. Literally threw the game away in Milwaukee.
prove to the team and Creighton that we are committed to winning both Wednesday and years into the future but AGGRESSIVELY recruiting and offering Tyler Herro in the next 48hrs. MU will be pumped and Creighton will be filled with self doubt.

i couldn't resist - the TH thread had clearly gone through the looking glass and was fresh in my mind.
Transition D!!! Slowing it down on both ends of the court will be key.
Shoot well, rebound and put back up, alternate defenses, change tempo, dominate and win.
Creighton opens minus 9........

The down side of this will be abysmal offensive rebounding (see Villanova game). Trade offs.

I would take MU and the points. Creighton wins but we will stay within 9.
