Title: WSJ - Nigel Hayes doesn't like Under Armour balls
Post by: 🏀 on February 12, 2016, 11:06:25 AM

"It's definitely different," Hayes said. "Personally, we don't like it too much. I don't like the Under Armour ball whatsoever. But that's the way this amateur sports league is set up. We're supposed to be having fun, but all the money is in these basketballs that colleges play with. But it's an amateur sport, we're just here for fun. It's not really that serious. So I guess any ball should be OK.

Let's not talk about how Wisconsin is the only major D-1 team to use Sterling balls or anything, that would be too hypocritical.

Frankly, I am not big on playing with balls. I am more of a mountaineer and spelunker in my recreational pursuits.

The under armor ball is a really crap ball to be honest. It's heavier and has a different texture, whereas the Wilson Solution/Evolution and the Nike elite have a very similar feel.
