Turnovers?
Too many, we lose.
Take care of the ball, we win
Tonight 13 TOs in 50 minutes, 6 in the last 30 minutes (2nd half and 2OTs)
Is this the most important stat of this team?
Isn't eFG the most important stat?

In general yes.
I'm talking about this team in particular. Are the number of TOs their most important stat?

No. Our first couple of wins in conference all had 20+ turnovers
Right now it's pretty big.
Seems like we're taking better shots and making more the last 4-5 games. Still streaky from long-range, but we didn't take that many tonight. Rebounding seems improved. Getting to the FT line has been a strength all year. Turnovers have been this team's true Achilles heel.

IMO, short answer is unquestionably yes. Obviously, since they aren't a particularly good shooting team, it is really about possessions, which is why the turnovers and poor rebounding have been so magnified. They just cannot afford to give away possessions as they have consistently done this year. That's clearly true of any team, but when you can't make shots, you gotta have the ball more.
The Xavier game for sure was about TOs, if we had less we wouldve won.

Can't shoot threes unless you have the ball.
