MU recruits in action
During this season's "Cupcake Central/Please Please Please Don't Come Away With a Crippling Injury" portion of the schedule, here's an update on each of MU's four signees from the Class of 2008:
For a kid who only averaged 5 ppg as a high school junior, Chris Otule is positively blowing up as a senior at Fort Bend Bush High School. The 6'10" center had another boffo performance over the weekend, with 21 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots in a 64-52 win. According to the Houston Chronicle, Otule (who is also referred to as "O'Tule" in reports) already has two triple-doubles this season. Rip Van Winkle has official gained consciousness.
Meanwhile, Nick Williams has having a monster season down in Dixie. Averaging 32 ppg, Williams canned 16 to lead LeFlore to another win on Friday night. LeFlore, ranked #15 in the nation by ESPN and 9-0 on the season, travels to a tourney in Hawaii shortly.
Jersey City St Anthony's opened its season with a win on Saturday. Tyshawn Taylor chipped in with six points for the positively loaded Friars, ranked #5 in the nation by USA Today.
Finally, JUCO forward Joseph Fulce had 21 and 10 to lead Tyler JC to an overtime win back on December 1. Big Joe also had 21 in his previous start, a win over Lon Morris. Fulce is having a terrific year in the Lone Star State, where the Apaches are 9-0.

Wow, that's fantastic news, especially about Otule. Talk about a breakout season. It'll be great to see all of them in blue and gold. Plus, with Burke doing well and Mbakwe, Otule and even Fulce coming in next year, losing Ooze probably won't be much of a hit (although, I think we will all miss the "Ooooooooze" chants).

Next year we will fully understand how bad Oooze really is...bless his heart.

Or you might be surprised that Ooze may have the best chance of sticking in the NBA...ala Ben Wallace, Rodman, Jawaan Oldham and the rest of the one-dimensional rebounder's that NBA teams seem to land on. Size matters.

I DO NOT see ousmane in the league. Whether it be his extreme inconsistency, or his...extreme inconsistency. He has flashes of brilliance, but so does mark madsen, actually no he doesn't. I just don't think ooze has "it". I hope I'm wrong though, I hope for all MU players to have an NBA career

thats what she said
we are making fun of Ousmane Barro, but lets face it, Ous, from his frosh year to now, has improved more then anyone. I obviously don't go to the practices, but I see him as a hell of a worker, his game has increased so much. I love the guy, we take for granted his intensity down low. For the NBA, no, I don't think he will see it, but honestly, what he gives the team night in and night out is 100%, as cliche as it may be.
