Just finished listening to the post-game with Homer. Yes Wojo said HE "played like a man" and said Carter has his best game in "I don't know when" (Hey Wojo, try High School!). But he really made a point to give a shout out and some love to Hannif.
Hannif was charged with covering Dunham. As Wojo said; "It's hard to cover one of the best players in the conference. It's harder to do it as a Freshman. But to do it and come out with that kind of game is "pretty damn good."
Wojo also said that Hannif is a very competitive guy and he thinks Hannif relentless D got into Dunham's legs which help him miss the three in the final minute.
Wojo was the most upbeat and animated after this game. More than the Providence, LSU and/or Az St victories.
Wojo needs to continue to encourage these players. Beating them down does garner good results. Hannif was in his shorts. Terrific job with his off the ball defense.
On the telecast they pointed out how Wojo knows he has great talent but that right now they are predominantly freshman or young and he is focusing on continued encouragement and focus rather than plays. Such as "play like men." Etc...
That is a huge thing for this team. They have the talent but they are playing against jrs and seniors with 15-20lbs on them and more than 30 more games of experience.
Great game today!

Welcome, Big Tuna. You need anything, just let me know. In return, someday-and that day may never come -I'll call upon you to do a service.
Sounds like he's a hit-man on the side :-X
Haanif was simply amazing on the defensive end today. Sky is the limit for his upside as only a true freshman
Late in the game Wojo put in Sandy for defense, and Haanif waved him off on Dunham and sent him off to guard Jones. I loved to see that.
Man, I can't believe how overlooked he was in the recruiting process. Impressive recruiting victory for Wojo.

He was not overlooked he had lots of high major offers. Cal and Georgetown both wanted him very much. When it came to signing ceremony he had the three college hats lined up on the table and then he picked up Marquette.
Wojo worked hard for the recruiting victory.
