Is Henry's 32 points a New Freshman Record? Anyone know the old record?
The only players I think that could have reached 32 as a Freshman were Doc, Jim Mac and and/or Dom James.
Steve Novak against UConn, think it was 40

Novak wasn't a freshmen that year. I know it can't be McIlvaine. I don't think James scored that much as a freshmen. Forget if McNeal had a big game as a frosh.

Wasn't a freshmen.
Duane had over 30 in a game last year didn't he?

It was exactly 30.

Forgot that Duane was a Freshman last year ... it's the red shirt year that makes me automatically think he is a junior.
Matt V says the most for a "true Freshman" since Dom James' 29 in Jan 2006.

So he's not counting Duane's (red-shirt) Freshman 30 points last year.
Either way starting to sound like a new Freshman record.

I think McIlvaine had 40 blocked shots in a couple of games as a senior, but definitely not 32 points as a freshman.

Well since he was a freshman when Marquette was in CUSA, that didn't happen.

Jim Mac!?!
'84 were you born in '84? Because connected only someone who was 7 in 1991 would confuse Mac for someone who could score 32.

I agree, upon further reflection I should have remember that Duane was a Freshman last year and dropped 30 in a game.
Didn't Eford make like 8 3's in a game as a frosh? And Wilson wasn't a true Freshmen last year
Regardless of whether Duane was a true freshman or a fifth-year freshman, Henry scored more than he did in that game against UT last year, so if the record was 30, it'd be broken. Not sure what it was, though.
