If we win 8 more games in the regular season and BET combined, the numbers will sort themselves out. Long way to go.

RPI has gone up 16 spots to 108 as of now, obviously pending the results the rest of the night. I'd imagine we get a few more spots if LSU holds on to beat Oklahoma.

Good to hear. I go off the NCAA site which hasn't been updated yet, which one do you use? Just curious

Simmons is a lazy lazy college basketball player.

Simmons is averaging 20, 12 and 5, on 55% shooting. Now, I haven't watched LSU much this year, but I have a real hard time believing he is lazy.
Hield....yeah, he's unreal. NPOY for sure.

Simmons has great ability, but he doesn't play with any passion. Against OU, he just stood around and watched 90% of the time.
He can dominate when he wants, he's just lazy and watches most of the time.

Personally, I'd attribute that more to Johnny Jones being useless than I would to Simmons, but I could be wrong.

Just looked him up (didn't know much about him). 190-146 in 11 years & 0-2 in NCAA tournament at North Texas before he left (Our guy Tony Benford replaced him).
How did he land Ben Simmons & recruited so well last couple years?

Well in Simmons' case, his godfather is on the LSU staff.

Simmons seems to shirk to the biggest moments every time. He's got a long way to go to be ready to be a NBA superstar.
As usual, I am thankful that games are actually played and not just decided beforehand by Kenpom.
Does Kenpom still have Bucky ranked No. 1 in the world like they did for about a decade?

Is that bad? Five years is eternity and he still will be 24 at that point.

You do realize the NCAA selection committee uses Kenpom, right?

Well then, they're dopey too!
Next thing I'll hear is that NBA GMs use Value Add to judge potential draftees!

Not necessarily, but when you're the best player on the team, you need to be able to step up in those moments, not step down. For a guy who's been so clearly anointed (maybe just because there's no one else to anoint this season) I hoped for more out of him. He has the ability to be one of the greats, but I'm just not sure he has the personality.
