While at Marquette one of the guys on my floor at McCormick had a father indicted for a whole slew of fraud and racketeering charges. His father was the Speaker of the State House in RI. I am sure the guy was upset but he shrugged it off as RI politics.
I remember reading the front page article in the NYT and thinking this would be a big deal in my family but then my dad was a fighter pilot and not a politician so people weren't giving him kick backs for breaking the sound barrier.

"This was the mayor of insider deals and cash in envelopes, of political hacks and mobsters on the city payroll," Stanton continued. "This was the ruthless Buddy who took a sadistic glee in crushing his opponents and settling old scores, the dark Buddy who had been accused in law school of raping a woman at gunpoint."
No wonder I've never seen his name in any MU donation request literature.
Didn't Buddy Cianci's wife, who was working as a substitute teacher, try to seduce one of her students into killing him?

A family that preys together ..........
he was a very good friend and classmate of my uncle who is/was a very well known judge in milwaukee and now works in private practice as a very well respected mediator. he is also a very prominent member/past president of the...wait for it...the italian community center and festa italiana. he has told me stories of he and buddy going back to law school that would absolutely make your hair curl he, buddy and jimmy valvano used to golf together all the time and those stories are precious
speaking of stories, i've really come to appreciate listening to these guys as they grew up: it was a whole different era. this is stuff that you normally have to read about and then go-nawwwwww, that couldn't have happened that way. then you listen to these guys-tony spavone, is another one-incredible people and their experiences-priceless
i know i know...so what-heyna?
