Vander continues to do very well in the D League. Just had a 43 point game and having an excellent year. Hope he gets called up soon.
The winning basket he scored at the Garden against the Johnnies was something I will never forget. Great play.

He certainly took a very long and strange road to achieve his dreams when all he had to do was attend classes for one more semester at MU and he would almost certainly would have been drafted. Beyond strange.
Hope his altered path gets him there, but no wonder Buzz was beside himself with Vander's choice.
Matt Carlino is playing for Houston Rocket's D-league team...Rio Grande Vipers
Almost certainly.
I'm so glad Chicos is willing to provide his opinion on Vander and the path that he choose. I have never read it before. ::)
5 years from now Chicos will jump on any Vander news he is provided with--good, bad, or otherwise.
Watched a few Defenders games. Vander is touted as the star on the ads for upcoming games.

I don't understand this stance. I realize that the next mock draft had him going. But wouldn't that be with the caveat that he would he have continued to develop?
Say he stays, but struggles. Then he probably would have fallen off boards, right? Sure, he could have stayed maybe improved and gotten better. But at the same time, he could have stayed and ended up like Dominic James (who likely would have been drafted after his freshman year, but chose to stay and then never got drafted).
