MU @ Nova
Option 1: Nova whips us by more than 20

Option 2: MU hangs tough for a half but loses by 15

Option 3: MU is competitive but loses single digits
votes: 18
Option 4: MU wins...

There is a reason Vegas has us as such huge dogs. Let's hope we can be somewhat competitive which will have more to do with Nova's FG % than anything we actually are able to do.
Huge dogs because the efficiency scales/ranking has us losing by 19...which is where the line started. I think they'll beat the spread.

Hank celebrates his bday with his first 30-spot. No one else hits double digits. Nova covers spread.
I see it as one extreme or the other - a blowout loss, or a season-defining win.
Since my choice doesn't involve any money, I chose the latter. ;D
Cautiously optimistic. Won't lose my sh!t if we get ahead, won't lose my sh!t if we get blown out. However, I reserve the right to lose my sh!t if we win.

Hate to be Johnny Raincloud, but with the team's inability to close out on 3-point shooters, we're going to get hammered (by more than 20).
I would love to be wrong, my younger brother went to Villanova and when they beat us, he is insufferable.
Note to Keefe: My bro was ROTC at 'Nova and went 82nd Airborne and then LRRP. He's finishing up his 20 with 1-184th in Calif.

Nova has to have an off night and we have to play our best game of the year in order for us to just squeak by. Possible.

Nova is a much better team, period. 19 points seems like a nice start for the Dog, but I would give the points and take Nova.
Nova is a worse 3 point shooting team than Marquette. Why do people think they're godly from behind the 3 point line?

Because we remember last year they hit 42, 53, and 58 percent against us in three games....they don't shoot it as well this year, but we're all scarred.

Those percentages are outliers. Please, don't compare last year's team to this year. We didn't have a wing defender like Sandy and Traci csn hold his own on the defensive end. They don't shoot above 40% from 3 tonight. Guaranteed.

Way to nip that narrative.

Let's hope we get one of those Ryan A. shoots 10 shots and bricks all of them.

Last year 'Nova was top-25 in the country from beyond the arc. They shot almost 39%, so those were outliers, but they were a very, very good three-point shooting team. This year's 'Nova team isn't nearly that good from deep, but they are absolutely lethal (60.8%) on their 2PFGs. Gotta zone them from the start and keep them out of the lane. Get them shooting threes and hope they don't have an outlier night.

Sounds like a good half-time score. Or, were you talking about a team of mini-Warriors? If so, that's a reasonable prediction for a final.

But what if we were coached by a hologram Al?

MUBB wins by 40. HoloAl then jumps on the scorers table and performs with HoloTupac at the end of the game.

I suspect the Boys in Vegas do their spread based on a lot more factors than a simple formula. In any event, this is not a good sign.

With our luck, they will go off from 3, but we can always hope. Maybe we will go off from 3.
Guys picking Nova to kill us ... no rocket science in that.... I am not impressed.
What impresses me are the guys hoping on their team to turn the upset. I have more respect for that than 3 paragraphs on why we will be drilled tonight.
I'm lookin for an upset!! Anyone out there with me!!!

The Warriors will bring it tonight, they need to rebound and stay out of foul trouble.

Might need to invoke the lucky Sonoran, eh?
actually I making shrimp creole for dinner RC83, Sonoran salsa for a halftime snack.
WArriors will shoot lights out with Duane and Sandy scoring 40 plus!
Hmmmm...win Powerball or beat 'Nova?...win Powerball or beat 'Nova?...win Powerball or beat 'Nova?...what the heck, I'll take the W in Philly and fall back on next weeks $40M jackpot.
**but that's not how i voted. They never get comfortable buy we don't get the win. Looking for a "I'm really proud of this team tonight, they played like men. But that's a great team and this is a tough environment." Narrative after the game from Wojo
We should of played them last night when a lot of top teams were losing.

I think we need Warhog cover with a C130 gunship to win this one.
Well, the majority of us predicted a 15 point loss so there is that consolation prize.

The game went a lot better than the score reflected. Feel good about taking Nova to the wire at the Bradley Center and winning. The team won't go that cold for an 8 minute stretch again.
Lots of good things to build on. Just need to keep building...and most importantly, starting to win more.

I agree with this entirely. The final score is better than everyone expected and actually doesn't reflect the range in which the contest was played.
Hopefully, we learn from this get them in Milwaukee.
