With Duane getting SOTG for the St. Johns game, that makes seven different players. See the left-hand column
The only players that see minutes that have not gotten it are Wally and Heldt. Sacar is not seeing minutes and the rest are walk-ons.
Question ....
When the year is over will the list to the left have 7 names on it or do you think another player (Wally, Heldt, Sacar, Walk-ons) will snag a SOTG award?
Remember we still have Stetson on January 27 (I'm ASSUMING, repeat ASSUMING, that this will be a cupcake blowout so maybe a Wally or Heldt get extended minutes).
Thoughts?
I think 7 will be the max now. I think it would have to be a pretty great effort by heldt, Wally, Sacar or a walk-on (unless it's an honorary award), to get on the list. We have a pretty tight 7 man rotation right now and I don't see Wojo playing someone in extreme minutes outside of that rotation.
Although, we could see a game where Wally gets hot from 3 randomly or heldt provides a game changing block...
But my vote is 7 will be the final list.
I think Wally will make the list, and we'll end up with 8 different SOTG.

I don't get why Wally doesn't get second half minutes. I love the quick burst of energy he provides. He usually does a couple good things when he's in. I think it is doubtful (unless he goes off against Stetson) that he will earn a SOTG.

Agree, if Coach K had a meaningful impact on Wojo, theses 7 will have almost all the minutes locked up. Only if injuries and/or transfers happen will it change. Think Allen Grayson last year.
I think seven is the magic number. Rotation is set. Injury to a starter might change my mind.
Practically speaking that's it.....but if one of them does get it, it would have to be for something very special on the court.... so we shall see

Agreed. Nobody else even gets enough minutes to earn SOTG unless one of our top 7 gets hurt.
What list to the left?
