Unsure if you guys have followed the Andrew Smith story (Butler alumni - more coverage here in Indy about it) at all, but his wife's blog is the saddest thing I have ever read:
https://kickingcancerwiththesmiths.wordpress.com/
Certainly puts things in perspective.
I see he lost his battle today. So young. RIP Andrew. :(
"Be careful how you live; you will be the only Bible some people ever read."
We all need to strive for this every day regardless of what our Bible is.
So freakin' sad.
Death doesn't care if you're big and strong or athletic or famous. Death just does what death does, and it ain't fair at all.
Live life well, folks. Love a lot, and conduct your life in a way that others will want to love you.
Terribly sad. Stories like that always put things in perspective for me, but only for a short while. Then I go back to getting stressed out or frustrated by things that are ultimately trivial, which I suspect might be true for most people. Heartbreaking for his wife, family, and friends. RIP.
very sad-
