I like the Bulldog, Uptown or Henry's Uptown. Both are on Magazine St. Not sure if they at MU friendly or not.

I've got a buddy down there. I'll ask.
Not a Marquette friendly bar but do check out the Erin Rose
Most of the bars will be MU Friendly - mainly because of the student groups that have been coming here for 10 years - MU is well liked here.
But we have most alum viewing events at Bayou Beer Garden noted above.
Manning is our favorite sports bar. They show the Marquette games on the tv's you request.
That should read Mannings.
Heading to Bayou Beer Garden with another Milwaukee native tonight if any NOLA locals want to come out to watch the Warriors smack down DePaul tonight.

Hoist one to the memory of departed '83 alum
Stephan Candiff, New Orleans native. Stephan and his parents hosted me and some buddies at his house over New Years in 1983 in NOLA. great experience. Stephan passed from cancer about 5 years ago.
The Bayou Beer Garden is a great place. We celebrated National Marquette day there last February. We will be there after February 1 thru May 1.

Killer Poboys! My friends were skeptical when I dragged them in, but by god was it worth it.

Hot damn. Started with a pulled pork poboy then had a meatloaf. Good call. Best food I've had in close proximity to Bourbon.
