2 things.
1. The ref in the huddle was coming after Sandy, not Duane. Sandy just got the charge. Wojo went crazy. Rafferty was wrong saying that it was Duane. Duane was trying to calm that ref--who unbelievably did not t him up. Side note--after tv timeout you hear Wojo thanking ref for not teeing him up.
2. Prior to that incident, Sandy intentionally bumps Dunn and Says something to him on the way to the huddle...Dunn and teammate are surprised at the moxie and smile at Sandy.
Observations only--when you are 0 and 2 on the road I want to see every player do what they feel they need to do.
He needs to stay involved in the offense. Good things typically happen when he shoots the ball.
I'm wondering why Sandy is not even looking for a 3 point shot. He is the one I have most confidence in (which isn't saying much as no player on the team is a great shooter so far.) Still I think it is interesting that Wojo does not run plays to set him up.
That said, Sandy is playing with a lot of confidence driving and playing D so I'm not complaining, just observing.
I thought it was Nelson who went bonkers and was screaming on the court.
I loved Sandy bumping Dunn. Sophomore bumping the possible NPOY, eff you.

Agreed. Thought the same.
Loved when Cheatham turned back to say something to Koenig at UW too. Need some guys playing with a chip on their shoulder. Not punky, just letting them know we're here to compete.

Think he missed 3 today
And Sandy was completely wrong. That was a clear charge with feet outside the circle.
I really like the way Sandy plays on offense and defense. Agree that plays should be run to increase his outside shot opportunities.
Lombota wasn't set--watch it again. This issue was not the circle--and I don't believe that was what Wojo was yelling about. Rafferty missed the entire action and misrepresented it.

Wojo was clearly saying over and over (and pointing to), "He was inside the circle!"
I thought he was moving, though, too.

Good things tend to happen when we actually get shots up.
I like Sandy's game, think he's going to be a Joe Chapman type player. Solid.
Sandy made a couple really tough shots in traffic, through contact that he wouldn't have thought to attempt last year. He's attacking really well.
That said, they gotta run him through some screens to try and free him up. He hasn't had many clean looks from 3 in league play.

I think his ceiling is much higher than Chapman.

Joe Chapman was a damn nice player, it's a nice ceiling to aim for.

Uhhh... Joe Chapman never averaged more than 25 MPG or 8.1 PPG. Sandy is already averaging 28 and 8.9 as a sophomore. Joe Chapman was a nice role player, but Sandy is already exceeding his ceiling, and has way more to go, in my opinion.
