Title: Bruno Fernando
Post by: muhoops1 on January 04, 2016, 05:33:03 PM
I see Wojo is following him on Twitter.  I got the alert on my iPhone so no real creepy stalking story.  He's a low post player from Monte Verde Academy in FL.  I'll let anyone else fill in the blanks if they wish.

You get alerts when Wojo follows people?

Corey Evans gave a crystal ball to Florida State yesterday for Bruno. Not that those mean too much

From the Markus Howard thread yesterday...

Has a great build (nh) and is MEAN. Would call him a PF. Ran w/E1T1 and center Tony Bradley (UNC).

Pretty raw, but showed more than just flashes. Physical, great motor.

Wouldn't see as a match w/MU, but he's definitely a physical 2016 PF

That's how some of the Twitter apps work.

Oddly yes.  My new iPhone was in sleep mode and when I unlocked it, I was taken to Twitter.  It said Wojo and Mark Miller started following him.  I looked at his profile and saw he was a low post player.  Seemed there must be interest there.

I don't recall setting that feature but apparently I did.

If we're looking for that tough banger inside, at least on the defensive end, seems as though he plays the part well. Looks plain mean.

It's better to look good than to feel good.

Wouldn't it be fan-freakin-tastic if we had a player named Bruno?

Bruno!

Gotta love that.

At the start of this thread all I was thinking was, "He looks marvelous."

I'm pretty sure twitter will push out notifications when people you follow start following others not all of the time, but some of the time. There's probably an algo for when it does so, but I get a lot of "popular on your network" or "X is now following Y" notifications.

If you haven't heard Wing's Fernando before, do yourself a favor... close your door, turn the volume up moderately, click play below, patiently listen to the first two minutes (at least), and enjoy.  I guarantee that had you not known better, you'd swear that ABBA covered her.

We need this guy. We need bigger, stronger, more athletic guys all around. It is evident through two Big East games this year that we are getting out-toughed and bullied all around. Wojo needs to recruit to compete in the Big East...not to go 10-2 vs. cupcakes.

Thought our S& C was supposed to be really good.  We look like a team of stickmen so far.

247 said Fernando has yet to take the ACT / SAT.

Might want to get on that.

You've solved the slow start at home problem.  Just issue ear plugs to our team and play this just before game time....

Everyone needs to take a deep breath.  This team has 4 returning players from last year.

When the over hype of how many games we'd win was going on pre-season, everyone wants to ignore that this is basically a completely new team not made up of top 25 or 50 talent.

Not too much a conditioning coach can do in a few months. That being said: Cohen sure looks stronger.  Fisher had surgery and was only cleared this fall.  Wally is a high jumper and is not going to bulk way up.  Duane seems stronger and able to take contact.  Not sure on JJ.

Give Wojo a season or two to get a team with skill and some athletes.  Wojo is not trying to do the year to year rebuild like Buzz.  Hopefully his patience will pay off with a team that has players that stay and develop over time.
