This kid has contibuted big time in a lot of games this year. I think we should stop talking about what Ooze ISN'T doing, and start talking about what Burke is doing. 15-20 min per game, 5 rebs, 70% shooting. I just think he deserves a mention and credit, especially for his performance in the Wisconsin game.
Side note: Lazar "MiniBarkley" Hayward is shooting a nice 58% from the field! Gets boards... and apparently he is a sick 3pt shooter! (although not many opportunities this year to showcase that skill) He just gets it done, huh?!?!
And what a voice!!!! :D

That Jingle Bells video at the BC is hilarious. I think Fitz has the best moves on camera. In the immortal words of Vanilla Ice, "Go white boy, go white, go white boy, go............."

haha... although I agree with the fact that Fitz is basically hilarious in that video, I think I have to say that Jerel has the best moves. He was really getting into it at the end!
I loved the way he played against UW - unreal - his best effort ever!
we get excited too quick around here. remember kinsella? burke has been good, but for 2 or 3 games. dont let amnesia set in, 6 weeks ago this man was on the cut list. ooze is the guy that needs to do it, burke prove me wrong and make yourself consistent
Kinsella never put up 12 and 9 against a pretty quality opponent. Also, Kinsella never was healthy long enough to do what Burke has done up until this point.
hey easy on the kins! Know anyone else who shot 80% from behind the arc for their college career?!
nope, but you have to admit he was injury prone. Granted, I think if he would have been healthier and not hurt every season, I think he could have contributed, but that simply wasn't the case.
kinsella's performance in the pitt game last season was absolutely glorious.

The vast majority of Burke's points involve catching the ball (off of a nifty pass from a driving guard who has drawn all the defense away) while standing all by himself under the basket and making an uncontested layup or dunk. I would suggest that a 70% shooting percentage is merely adequate given the types of shots he takes. The fact that we extoll his virtues for doing this is more a statement about how poor our interior play has been the past few years than anything else.
Since the games have mostly all been televised, I haven't listened to the radio yet this season, but I'd guess we're probably not hearing Homer say, "Misses the no footer!" as often this year, so I guess that's something.
If the two headed monster can continue to give us about 14 and 12 from the 5 spot and Zar can keep overachieving in the paint, this will be a much better team than many of us imagined.
Burke did amazing that game but i stil dont know why he dribbled it out that one time and it almost got stolen!! But who cant forget his two monster dunks :o
