Sorry to step on any toes if someone usually starts this post.
MU: 65
SHU: 60
Luke goes for 20 along with 10+ boards while Ellenson quietly goes for 15 and 8. Let's see how Wojo runs the point.
PAIN
Low scoring... I see a 60-58 game with MU squeeking by!
I see low scoring like the Wisconsin game where we slowly get our sea legs together playing a team with a little more talent and height.
Looking for 5-10pt win with Henry big.
Marquette 75
Seton Hall 72
Heart says MU wins by 6.
Head says Hall turns us over a bunch and wins by 8+.
I am having a tough time figuring out this team given the schedule. With that in mind, I will take Seton Hall and the points. Maybe some first conference game jitters for the Blue and Gold.
64-62 Seton Hall
glanced quickly at SH roster and stats
Looks like only one big man of note #31: 6-9 Soph. avg 10RPG. next best is a 6-7 Soph with 7.5RPG....so their bigs aren't that big and are young too. If any of their other big guys comes in, they'll be real weak. Our bigs are bigger and better!
they have a few guys with points and their 3-stats are decent. I saw some of the Wichita State game and they were "ok". Nothing stood out.
Stats wise they kinda look like us but I have a feeling we have a greater upside.
Glad we're at home for this first one.
MU by 10

I think MU plays well and wins comfortably.
Sandy 3 at the buzzer to win
MU by double digits and makes it look easy. Statement win to the pundits (and MUScoop resident eeyores) that MU is for real.
The Hall 69
MU 64
If they stay under 12 turnovers, MU wins by 8.

I think we win a relatively close one. That said, I have never had less of an understanding of what we actually are and are capable of being heading into conference season than I do this year with this team.
I think that string of dogs we have been playing may have led to bad habits that will burn us early in the conference season.
Loyalty and wishful thinking trumps any clue, MU by 5 in OT.
Depends on who shows up. If SH is hot and turns us over it will be along night. If we play strong defense and we take the game to them after a few minutes of jitters we win by 4.

I'm a little worried that you are right.
I think the players will respond to Wojo's latest motivational tactic of replacing the white practice t's with sequined halter tops.
MU wins by 16.
And looks fabulous doing so.
MU 71-69
Our size will matter.
MU 65 SH 63...and there will be much rejoicing.
The Warriors will win by five, 75-70.
if we respect the process and stick to the basics the "score" will take care of itself.
MU by 10. Big boys have combined 35 and 20 tonight.
Mu expecting a lot of ball pressure tonight. TOs will be crucial.
Top Priorities
Protect the Ball
Defensive Rebound
Paint Touches
TC stay out of foul trouble
LF stay oft of foul trouble
PS Extra thought....can you imagine the mayhem if Burr was still refereeing under the new rules? I cringe at the thought.

Given that this is the first thing you mention I have faith that they will handle the pressure, get off to an early 12 point lead (helped by SH's 8 day layoff), hold the lead until the 6min mark, and hold on for a 66-64 win.
**other thread but thanks for the POV on the contract extension
OReb for Seton Hall will be rough on us...
...need Whitehead to take a bunch of boneheaded shots and miss them.
Like ZFB, this game could go either way tonight.
Warriors 73-67.

may i add-sandy cohen III has got to stay out of foul trouble also
spread warriors -3 1/2 o/u-141.5
We find out who we are. Losing to Seton Hall doesn't mean that we won't finish in the top half half of the league, it just means that our chances of getting there are no better than 10%, and probably less.
I thought this game was away for some reason. MU by 2
