I honestly don't know who to pick.
1) Hank. Double double, a huge bucket.
2) Luke. Huge down low, huge bucket
3) Cheatham. Played well offensively and made it look like Koenig was the freshman point guard in this game.
4) Sandy. Solid as always, and made Hayes look soft as can be.
Great all around effort by the team. Need to make some free throws and rebound better.
Henry wanted it at the end. He gets it in my book.
Henry.
Henry.
Oh Henry. No doubt.
but shout outs to:
Cohen. Shut down Hayes and embarrassed him.
D.Will. 9 pts on only 4 shots with 4 assists and 2 steals.
Cheatham. For shutting down Koenig.
Luke, for a big rebound at the end.
Henry's double double was worthy. Luke was huge. Haanif's clutch tip near the end massive. But my vote goes to...
SANDY COHEN for making Nigel Hayes his BITCH!
O-Henry!
Love it boys!
Henry.
Henry
Haha thanks for combining all of them and updating the thread title to the proper title.
Henry
No question - HE.
Great response to being booed during intros
Henry. With Luke a solid 2nd.
Henry looked like a man who knew this was his one shot to beat UW in Madison.
If for no other reason than the boos - Henry.
Mr. Defense and team play won the game today.
1. Henry
2. Luke
3. Haanif
4. Whichever assistant had the scout.
Tough call, but I'll go Henry. Cheatham and Fischer right there, though. Cheatham makes some free throws maybe he's up there...
Henry was great, but I go with Cohen.
Held Hayes to 4 for 18 from field. Cheatham held Koenig to 3 for 11 and played a lot of minutes due to Carter having a terrible game.
The Chief - See Hayes (lack of) stats
The guy plays the other team's best player and he shut him down.
I cannot vote for players that miss the front end of one and ones that could seal the game. It is hard to choose between Ellenson & Fischer. I am going with Fischer.
Team Defense
Henry
1. Henry
Very close second... Luke
King Henry
Henry. Took the reins.
Cohen. We don't win otherwise.
Yep -- Henry!
Fischer. Solid game and key rebound off missed free-throw w/ 4.1 left
Tough call, but, give it to Henry.
Henry, in the final Crunch time he wanted the ball and went to the rim. A real foundation player for this team.
Luke--if he doesn't grab the rebound on the missed free throw, Wisky gets one last look and there may not be a SOTG.
While Sandy clowned Hayes, Hanny clowned Bronson (his dad must be posting a storm over at badgernation), this was Hank's game.
How about a team STOG -- just this once?
If not, Henry

Hank and Henry. Henry is playing with a lot of confidence right now.
Also, Bronson's dad posts over there? That's hilarious.
Team defense really was incredible today.
Torn between Henry and Sandy. Henry had a double double, and he stepped up and played Big Boy defense on Brown when he found his midrange jumper. Sandy made Nigel's day hard all game long.
Haanif gets honorable mention for being cool and collected at the point in the game's toughest moments.
Henry, he became the team leader today. Chaetham was great had some turnover issues. Cohen close 2nd with big fish.

Ben Simmons - every game.
Nigel Hayes, for being softer than Charmin.

He's a real class act, except only if you take away the C and the L.
Henry, lead the team in points, rebounds, and tied in assists.
No doubt.

Sure did. Pretty much said his son would dominate #mubb for his son's tenure at UWMadison.

I get his old man getting caught up in the rivalry but for him to bait another team's fans is strange.
Sounds like Mr Koenig needs to get a life of his own.
Henry because he was the emotional leader out there. Got us some huge buckets and boards.
But Sandy deserves it as well. As BrewCity aptly put it, he made Hayes his biitch
We may need to rethink some of our comments about Sandy being the prototypical worst starter.

He may be statistically (though 9.3 ppg/4.1 rpg/3.3 apg is pretty darn good) but if Sandy's the worst, we're going to be a really damn good team.

Career highlights and awards
Getting shut down by Hannif Cheatham
The last game Henry had at the Kohl Center was the state semifinal when he got hurt. He wanted this, and he stepped up in the clutch.

Career highlights and awards
Getting shut down by Hannif Cheatham
Quite a few highlights in there...
Quote from: wikipedia- Koenig was a McDonald's All American nominee which is nothing like being an actual McDonald's All American. Word is that Bronson was nominated for that award but his father Paul.
- Koenig arrived in Madison with high expectations but his inability to overcome the stout defense of Hannif Cheatham reduced his play to that of just another also-ran Bo Ryan recruit.
- He is opposed to using Indian names as mascots, and is particularly against the Washington Redskins.
- As Bronson has failed to live up to his advance billing, largely the product of Paul's incessant bragging about his son, the younger Koenig is just now coming to terms with life after basketball where he puts that Madison diploma to work selling cars at Crazy Jim's Auto Lobby.
Henri, and I fart in the general direction of any Badger fan
I am saying EVERYONE.
Great scouting and coaching.
Henry was tough and wanted this bad.
Luke was great.
Sandy was AWESOME.
Duane was solid.
Cheatham played very well.
Don't make me choose, bro.
I'll say Henry, but only by thisclose over Luke.
I mean, it was Luke who grabbed Henry's miss and scored the winning bucket. And it was Luke who grabbed the FT rebound to all but secure the victory. Plus he had 12 points, 8 rebounds and played great interior defense all game.
Here's the AP lead:
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Luke Fischer scored 12 points and converted an offensive rebound with 27 seconds left, Wisconsin missed a contested 3 on its next possession and Marquette held on for a 57-55 win on Saturday over its in-state rival.
Henry's not even in that lead, nor should he be. But yes, Henry did have the better all-around game, all game long, and that does matter.
Special thumbs-up to Cohen for his work against Hayes. I just wish he had stepped up and made those FTs.

Like trying to pick the perfect pair of black pumps while your husband helplessly beats his head against the wall? Or is that just my life?
Henry. And I think this would have been a double digit win if MU would have shot 75% from the line and if JJJ, Luke and Henry would have had better fortune at the rim.

Outstanding!
Koenig was moved into the Badgers starting lineup for the 2014–15 season after an injury to point guard Traevon Jackson. Koenig arrived in Madison with high expectations but his inability to overcome the stout defense of Hannif Cheatham reduced his play to that of just another also-ran Bo Ryan recruit.

Carter had Koenig when he was in, when he wasn't Cheatham had Koenig. Wilson was covering Showalter.

Nigel Hayes, for being softer than Charmin.
And that is why I am not voting for Sandy. Sandy played well, but this is the third time I have watched UW this year, and Nigel has pretty much looked like he did yesterday.
Luke. A force every game. Big this game
Is there a little Benny Hill in that SOTG picture?
The key takeaway is that this was truly a team win. That is something Wojo, through the coach speak, has actually been saying is what he wants this program to be all about.
