It is once again the second Saturday in December, which means it's time for Marquette to face-off against in-state rival Wisconsin. This year the Golden Eagles will be traveling west to face the Badgers for the 122nd meeting between the schools...https://misix.com/a-tale-of-two-years (https://misix.com/a-tale-of-two-years)
So....you think it'll be a close one. I'll take it.
No matter how mismatched the teams are, this game has always been played close. I've got my heartburn medicine ready.
I don't think the teams are mis-matched. Hayes may be the best player on the floor, but otherwise MU has just as much, if not more, talent.
I also noticed that the only non-starters that Bo used against UWM were freshmen. I think all 3 of their young guys are going to be great players - but they are still freshmen and can't control a game the way that Bo likes.
No started 4 juniors and freshman. Marquette is a younger, but, much more talented team. Marquette will prevail.
Its all about fouls. Wisky will do anything they can to get Fischer and Henry in foul trouble and sitting on the bench. Don't forget it is there house. Every call will go their way. I say start Wally and Fischer or Henry and Heldt. Marquette started a bench player a couple years ago to keep a star from picking up quick fouls. However, the players names escape me now.
Foul trouble.
Turnovers.
2nd chance points.
We must limit the unforced turnover on the offensive end, followed by a foul on a Wisky offen rebound. That will kill us.

Eric Williams to protect Jae Crowder?
That sounds correct.
yes, did that for a couple of games that season iirc
