UWM playing the Badgers tough tonight. They are getting lots of wide open looks. 7:50 left and Badgers up by 2
UWM could win this game if they stay calm . Two dumb offensive fouls hurt them .
Down 60-58 have ball with 3 minutes left
Pains me to say this but I think it's better for UW to win for RPI purposes and I really don't want them coming off a home loss.
Henry is going to have to watch his off arm when dribbling, the Badgers seem to use that as their defensive strategy. It's a foul they'll call every time, especially with the embellishment. Granted, it's not a foul when Hayes is driving.
UW very edgy. Taking shots early in the clock. UWM up two now.
UWM. Up 2
Wow fouls are something I hope Wojo is addressing in practice, lots on both sides
UWM making free throws
This is so great

Me too...and yet....
Win-win for me. If they win I have that to fall back on. If they lose.....well, self explanatory.
Up 4

Your over-analyzing it. Just want Bucky to lose!
Have we ever lost to UWM?
What game is on? I have been watching the Grinch who stole Christmas
At this game. I know fans everywhere get like this, but the amount of complaining by UW fans is ridiculous.
Koenig clutch. UWM needs to make free throws now
Huge win for UWM
usually I'd hate to play them after a loss but I feel like after this one it's gotta be getting in their heads which is a plus for us

No. Never.
So does Jeter take over for Bo?
Of course this probably ensures that UW beats MU on Saturday...
What a terrible last possession.
So happy for Jeter and Company. Can't stand the Grinch.
We have to do our thing on Saturday now.
This is so f#cking great!
Becky is probably gonna be extra motivated now, hopefully not. Still gonna be a close game on Saturday I feel.
That's great but they're gonna come out with a fire under their ass on saturday now.

Yea, I'd agree with this. They can't be feeling too confident losing to Western Illinois and UWM at home. We're not coming off a great performance, but we still gutted out a win. They are very dependent on Hayes and Koenig. Happ had a very good game. We have to play smart and stay out of foul trouble. Hopefully this shows the guys it can be done.

They are demoralized because they know last is over and this year they suck.
Smartest man in the state of WI ... Diamond Stone for staying away from the Madison Dumpster fire.
Or, as we might say around here ... Bucky is
not going to be fine.
Happ is a good player for Wisky, but the little point guard from UWM played a great game. Has Bos head blown
off yet over the officials?

Conspiracy theory?
This is Bo's last year. Have they announced his replacement yet? Otherwise, Barry meet Rob Jeter.
I just love watching the rodents lose, it's good for the soul.
Saturday = pouring salt in the wound...
And taking a leak on it.

That's called explosive diarrhea from the anxiety of facing the twin towers and company.
I feel like if we can't do what Western Ill and UWM did then we're in trouble and deluding ourselves. Onward and upward!
The badgers have zero home court advantage. The reason they are good at home is mostly because they have a great team and they also get most of the favorable calls. The fans turn that place into an absolute morgue. Their sweater vests are much worse than ours.

I feel it's something he definitely has been addressing. We are 9th in the country in opponent free throw attempt/field goal attempt ratio, which means we're very, very good at not fouling. We've had 4 foul-outs this year, Fischer twice (Iowa and ASU) and both Henry and Sandy once (both against LSU). The last game against SJSU was only the second time we've lost the total foul battle.
One more thing I'll credit Wojo with so far, we seem to be ahead of the curve in fouling, and not just against the cupcakes, but most of the quality teams (Belmont, Iowa, ASU) we've played as well.
Way to go Panthers! Let's go for the kill on Saturday.

when was the last time buck has lost 2 in a row at home?
they did name bo's replacement-the asst. coach, greg gard, i think, but i've heard some rumblings that this may not be bo's last year and their recruiting stock took an immediate hit. the kids were like who greg who? they need to bring in a BIG name to even sniff at continuing their previous successes. exception-jeter. he is right out of the bo ryan mold. i'm sure this greg gard is better known in the circles, but, he ain't no bo
I didn't see the game but our guys need to believe. This isn't your Final 4 Bucky anymore. And this stuff can snowball. If our Warriors can come out fast.......
Can you imagine Kohl emptying of rodent fans and the chant of 'We Are Marquette!' ringing through the joint as the clock runs down?

They lost 3 in a row at home a couple of years ago in their first final four year. A lot of fans wanted Bo to retire then.
Guess UWM caught the rodents looking ahead to their Super Bowl. ;)

I don't buy it. They already got beat at home by Western Illinois. They shouldn't need extra motivation.

February 10 2014 poll Bucky was not even among "others getting votes" (completely off the list)

This was one of the biggest
after January 1st collapses from top 5 to not even getting votes (4 weeks) in college basketball history.
And as noted before, they then rebounded and made the final four.
But yes, after the February 1, 2014 loss to tOSU Bucky nation was besides themselves thinking Bo should immediately retire.

Wow. Look who started it. ::)
Anyway, what should worry UW fans the most is their recruiting. I know they haven't been great and that Bo does a great job coaching them up, but Bo's (pre-mature?) announcement really cut the legs out from them recruiting wise. Yeah they got Kobe King, but they have had a number of players commit elsewhere.
Bo should have either just retired. Or he should have kept it quiet.

Agreed. This "sort of" retiring thing seemed like a bad idea from the start.

Often wrong but never in doubt.
At least UW has football
Anyone think maybe UW was overlooking UWM because of the game against MU?

No. UW isn't that good. Hayes is very good. Happ and Koenig are decent - Brown and Showalter are just bodies.
The two guys off of the bench are both going to be very good - but they are freshman and that is how they are playing when they are on the floor.
They are not the same defensive team they have traditionally been. If it is a low scoring game, the fault will lie with MU's offense.
