Opening day and the Masters tournament cannot come soon enough.
Like no one will flush for me.
Respect the process.

I hope Wojo gets his recruiting done soon down there early. That airport gets busy.
I feel like we are watching a team with 4 guys who returned and a bunch of freshman with talent, but sans one not top 25 type talent.
I feel like I did when I watch Key and Mac's freshman team get beat by Duke, except this time my expectations were much more in line with reality and what having a bunch of young guys and freshman means. That Key/Mac team was a learning lesson for me about the difference between top 100 freshman and upper classmen. I learned my lesson, so now it is about patience and seeing the glimpses of what is to come. And, hope that they put together a few good games for confidence purposes!
Stay the course. Wojo kept the team together and playing hard last year, I just hope he can do it again. Better times are ahead as long as they keep putting in the effort.
I feel like we won't shoot that bad very often. I feel like it was a bunch of young guys against juniors and seniors.

I feel pretty damn good, considering I predicted this.
I voted for a beer summit. Beer can only help.

You may have predicted them being 1-2, but I'm sure you didn't think it would take OT to beat a low major and a home loss to Iowa that may have been the worst beating fans have seen in a decade.

Well, that would have just been freaky and I would have lamented that my prognostication abilities only applied to MU hoops and not lottery tickets.

Brewers baseball? There might not be much difference between last night and next summer.

Not a Brewers fan.

I was surprised at how happy I was when I saw the haiku and disappointed that i spent 5 minutes looking for a hidden message.
Fantastic thread idea to lighten the mood....Bravo.
I feel players come to Marquette to learn how not to shoot 3's.
Basketball gods frown
I puke a bit in my mouth
LSU oh my
As I craft my first haiku since highschool I am watching Duke vs VCU, Vitale just mentioned how Iowa beat Marquette like a drum. I am very discouraged . :-\
Just relax and enjoy the team. Sports is not predictable. If you want a sure thing jump on the Kentucky bandwagon although your pleasure now might be derailed when the wins are DQ'd in a few years. MU doesn't need fans who call for the Crucifixion of coach and "individually called out" players after a loss. These are kids who do not need to read much of the invective that comes after a loss

Please, at Scoop we refer to such things as hyperbolic chambers.
I was not impressed with O'Neill (the man that saved MU Basketball) in his second year. J'Mc and company looked lost at times, and improvement came with O'Neill's 2d recruiting class. A good point guard makes a world of difference.
The trend is bad, but I am withholding judgment until next year.

Jeez, Nagin, 5 minutes? I got the "lifelong assistant" figured out in only two or three.
The earth still revolves around the sun
These losses will make the wins, when they come, so much sweeter.
I feel...completely confused on what I should expect to see from this team

Your haiku needs a lot of work. Example:
See Hiroshima
Turning into St. Louis
Call a Beer Summit

Damn, that's cold. I will try to do better. My point is that I expected last year and this year to be struggles. The building blocks are theoretically in place to start the ascent. The question is whether Wojo can handle the big chair. I am a patient, long-view kind of guy. So, more than this is what I predicted, this is what I expected.
