Three games in and I feel like everyone is giving up on this team...This team will get hot and be just fine. ( Growing pains) I think this Iowa loss could actually do the team well so that they get their butts back into gear...My prediction is that we finish non-conference play with 1 loss in NYC and a win at the Kohl Center...We will be 10-3 going into non-conference play which in my mind is acceptable.
A couple years back we were 9-3 going into conference play with a loss to Green Bay, Butler, and UF. Belmont was way better than GB and Iowa in my mind was better than that Butler team. ( We went to the Elite 8)
Iowa and Belmont are BOTH Tournament teams. Win the cupcakes and 2/3 of LSU/ASU(or NC St), and WI and we will be just fine.
I am not cancelling my trip to Hinkle on March 5th because I know we will be clicking on all cylinders by then, and in contention of a berth to the NCAA.
Trust the process. Trust the staff. Trust our talent. Go MU!

We aren't winning at the Kohl Center. But 9-4 and top 5 in the BE gets us in. I expect that to be the case.
Yes, you are right. R..E..L..A..X. Yes, if we throw in the towel on the Warriors, we always can focus more fully on the Packers...er..wait..they have lost three straight heading into Minnesota who is on the upswing. At any rate, we can get behind Milwaukee.

Neither Arizona State nor NC State are slouch teams. I think we will be better than Arizona State by the end of the season but not necessarily by next week. We could be looking at 8-5 non-conference, 0-5 against meaningful competition. Hope I'm wrong. We need to win in NYC because I don't think we win at the Kohl hole
Relax. I just wish this team would 'shoot it in the right direction' (so says Frankie)

Thats probably what Western Illinois fans thought too.

I trusted the prior staff after UWGB and FLA because they gave me reason to trust them based on their track record.
I can't say I feel the same about this group.
I would guess we have zero chance of winning at Madison. Impossible to expect this team will grow up in three weeks.
Is the our starting lineup now, similar to the one that started in Europe? Other than the level of the opposition, is there any other changes that would account for these 3 performances?
Cheatham didn't play in Italy. The level of play and quality of the opposition were the equivalent of IWB's Pro-am. And MU almost lost the first game there.
I'm perfectly relaxed. But all the relaxation in the world won't make this a well-coached team, which right now seems to be the problem.
As much as I want the team to learn how to win, I think it's more important for the coaching staff to learn how to win. In-game adjustments have been ineffectual or non-existent, we have no second plan on offense other than play as individuals and jack threes when we can't get it inside, and our man defense is porous.
I really hope the staff will show us something in the next week, because there aren't a lot of opportunities after that until Big East play starts.
