Coach; you implored our attention. You summoned the spirit. You rang the bell. The band responded. We arrived loud and proud. How do you explain the outright lack of intensity, focus, effort, and execution both offensively and defensively from this team. It frankly looked like amateur hour.
Thoughts?

My thoughts are that we have a bunch of amateurs.
We'll be in the Tournament.

I know March is a long way off, but my two questions would be which tournament and in which season? Because the NCAAs for this group seems optimistically at least a year away.
There's not a NIT in this squad. .500 in the WIAC.

NCAA Tournament 2016
The losses aren't resume destroyers, but needing OT against IUPUI? This team has a long, long way to go. Right now I would take 2-3 in a heartbeat. My guess is 1-4 by this time next week. We'll need 22+ wins for an at large with our non-con schedule. I don't see it.

Inexperience. No shooters. Inexperience.

We have a lot of talent on our roster. What's great about that is it means year-to-year and even month-to-month you may see entirely different teams. What's awful about that is how frustrating it is to see the amount of talent we have play the way they are.
I'm in for giving someone who recruits as well as Wojo 4 years to show he can improve as a coach. After that I'm out. Four years is a long time in college ball, but if he turns into a decent game coach we'll be good every year for a very long time.

Make no mistake, I'm not on the "Fire Wojo" bandwagon. I think that's ridiculous at this time. But right now I feel we're looking at a 1-4 record by next week and 7-5 going into Big East play (8-5 if you count Stetson). My expectation all along has been we will need 22 wins to secure a NCAA berth. Does anyone think this is a team that can win 14 games against Big East teams?
I think there's an expectation from some that if we have a winning Big East record, we'll be in the Dance. I don't think so. Unless we start winning, and I mean next week, 10 or 11 Big East wins won't get us any further than the NIT, and maybe even not that far with a 10-8 league record.

Please brew. At the moment this team isn't capable of beating a Top 75-100 team much less being worthy of post season. I've been at every game. All 120 minutes of basketball played has looked equally dreadful. It's only the level of our opposition that's changed. As it stands right now (this exact moment, not a projection), we'd be hard pressed to exceed last year's 4 conference win total.
